My alarm went off so I got out of bed and turned off my alarm. I quickly got ready for school. I was excited, today in home ec we are going to make desserts and I love sweets! My mom once told me my sweet tooth could rid the whole world of sweets.

Time skip...
I practically ran into home ec just so I could start making and eating desserts as soon as possible.
"Students, today we will be making cakes. I will assign each pair a dessert they will have to make. You will mostly make it from scratch other than I will give you a cake mix since this class only lasts an hour."
I jumped up and down excited, while Mingyu just looked bored.
"Hey," I whispered, "why are you so unenthusiastic?"
"I like cooking not baking Y/n, baking takes more work."
I glared at him, why does he have to be such a downer?"
Mr. Kim came up to us and handed us a recipe. I smiled down at it, until I read the dessert we were making.
"Ugh, I hate carrot cake! This cake literally has my least favorite vegetable in it. Carrots!"
Mingyu snickered at my obvious misery.
"Now look who's having no fun."
I stuck my tongue out at him, which just made him laugh more. But I've got a point, literally carrot cake is the healthiest cake there is. I mean it has carrots! I stopped my complaints there, I needed to make a perfect dessert to get a good grade and that's what I'm planning to do. I grabbed the cake mix and added it to a mixing bowl. Then I added milk and eggs to the batter.
"Hey, Mingyu watch the batter while I go get the hand mixer."
Mingyu nodded in response and I went to find a hand mixer. When I found it however it was on the top shelf. So I stood on my tippy toes to grab it, but I was still too short. I pouted, why couldn't I be tall. I felt somebody behind me and they reached over my head to grab the hand mixer.
"Thank..."
I turned around only to find Mingyu smiling at me.
"I thought I told you to watch the batter!"
"Well you looked like you needed some help, shorty."
I grumbled, but he just continued smirking. I ruffled my hair in annoyance, but refused to let him get to me. So I ignored him and went back to our baking station. I mixed the batter and put a spoon in to taste it.
"Hmm this is actually pretty good, come over here Mingyu so you can taste it."
Said person walked over and grabbed the spoon out of my hand and put it in his mouth. I immediately blushed and he smirked.
I was about to scold him when I felt my tongue start swelling up. I wanted to scream and cry at the same time. I mean how could I be so stupid, I forgot to check the ingredients for peanuts. I was going to die if nobody noticed. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't scream for help, and I couldn't even inject my epipen. I was doomed!
Mingyu's POV:
I looked over at Y/n and smiled. I was about to tell her how good the cake tasted when my eyes widened. She wasn't breathing, she looked like she was about to scream. Then it dawned on me she was allergic to peanuts and carrot cake usually has peanuts in it. I quickly checked the ingredients on the cake mix. It contains peanuts. Y/n was going into anaphylactic shock, she could die! I immediately grabbed her backpack and searched for an epipen. I found one immediately.
"Mr. Kim call the police, Y/n is having an allergic reaction!"
Mr. Kim ran for the phone while I took the cap off the epipen and injected it into her outer thigh.
"One, two, three... seven, eight, nine, and ten."
I pulled the epipen out of her thigh and looked at her, all the blood had drained out of her face. She had passed out too. Negative thoughts crossed my mind what if I was too late, what if she is already dead. I wanted to cry, but I knew I had to stay strong.
"The paramedics are here where is she!"
"Over here!"
The paramedics put her on a gurney and rolled her away into the ambulance. When they drove away, that's when I broke down. I felt tears stream down my face. What if she doesn't make it. I realized in that moment that I loved her. I love Y/n and if she dies I may never love somebody again. When we left school the only thing I could think about was what if she doesn't make it.
