Chapter 10

Y/n POV

My eyes burn as I open them, I'm surrounded by white. Am I dead? As my eyes focus on the room around me I start to realize I'm not dead. I'm in a hospital, always a great thing to wake up to.

I look around the room to see I'm hooked up to heart monitors and their are a few flowers on a table. A nurse walks into my room, she looks shocked to see me.

"Oh! You're awake! Do you remember what happened Y/n?"

I try to think about what I can remember happening to me last. I remember baking in home ec and how excited I was and I remember carrot cake. Of course the carrot cake! I had an allergic reaction to it. It makes sense, why wouldn't my least favorite cake also be the thing that almost kills me!

"I had an allergic reaction to carrot cake" I reply to the nurse's question.

"You probably don't remember who saved your life then do you?"

"Was it a doctor?"

She shakes her head, "No it was a boy in your class, his name is Mingyu. He used your epipen on you."

I'm shocked, how did he know to get an epipen? I need to tell him thank you, but I have no idea what I can do to pay him back. He did press to ally save my life after all.

"Well Y/n you can probably be let go sometime this afternoon. You should probably be fine to go to school tomorrow as well." The nurse tells me before leaving the room.

I move my leg but quickly stop because of how sore it is. My thigh is aching with pain, I don't know how the nurse expects me to walk. I should have asked the nurse how long I passed out for too, I don't even know what day it is!

After a while of me just sitting in the bed the nurse and my mom come into the room. My mom looks at my awake state and relief is visibly shown in her face, she walks up to the bed I was laying in and hugs me.

"Sweetie I've been so worried for you! You were out for a couple hours! I can as soon as I got the call and seeing you unconscious made me so scared!" My mom says while hugging me. I'm relieved when I hear I've only been out for a few hours, the less time I spend unconscious the better.

My mom helps me up off the bed and helps me walk to the car. I fall asleep on the ride home, who knew being unconscious could make you so tired.

Time skip to school

The minute I step into school Sunmi tackles me in a hug "I was so worried Y/n! I knew you were allergic to peanuts but I never thought it was that bad!"

I smile at Sunmi's words, "thank you for being concerned for me Sunmi, have you see Mingyu yet today? I really need to thank him."

Sunmi shakes her head no "I haven't seen him yet today, I'm sure you'll see him soon Y/n, he's everywhere in this school."

Just as Sunmi says those words Mingyu can be seen walking in the hallway towards me. I smile once I see him and walk up to him.

We make eye contact, "well Y/n I'm glad to see you're still alive" Mingyu says.

"It's mainly thanks to you Mingyu, I've been wondering how did you know what to do so quickly?"

He smiles "Well my friend, Vernon just so happens to have a peanut allergy just like you, so I thought it would be nice to learn how to help him if worse comes to worst."

I'm surprised at his reasoning but I think it's really sweet. I decide to ask him the thought that's lingering in my mind. "So Mingyu, is there anything I can do to repay you?"

He looks confused for a moment, "why?"

"Well you basically saved my life, if you didn't use the epipen when you did I could be dead."

"Hmm when you say it like that, I sound like a super hero. I'm sure I can think of something you can do to repay me." He hums in thought and I watch him think, I'm honestly scared for what he's going to say. "I've thought of how you can repay me!"

My ears perk up, I curious to know what know what kind of task he'll make me do. "What is it?"

He smirks and I gulp.

"Date me for a month Y/n"

"WHAT?"
