Honestly, it's nothing new
I've changed and grown
I'm not the charismatic girl I once knewMy heart aches and my skin stings
I'm changing, becoming new
My blood and tears
They mix to become a witch's brewI sometimes wonder
What if that hadn't happened?
If that snowy night went the way it was supposed to...
If that person hadn't left my world so soonIt's an inevitable fate
The one that you gave me
To fall from the top
And settle at the bottomI'm screaming and crying
At evern the smallest movement
My muscles tear
And my bones breakI'm constantly trying to make things new
But my slow beating heart
Won't let them come throughI'm laughing and smiling
In moments of hurt
Pretending those days never occuredThe wind whips against my face
And the cold freezes my tears
The rain drenches my soul
And the screams echo in my earsI'm wishing and praying
For a brand new dawn
One where I'm happier
And nothing goes wrongAlas, I know it shan't happen
For these things are true
The world is a game
And not all games are for youI'm hoping
Somewhere
Someday
That I shall see you againWithout scars on my arms
Or tears being shedI'm waiting
Always
And foreverFor the sun to rise again
To escape the inevitableLaina Mae C.
