“Hi I’m the Doctor” the man said smiling at me. I smiled up at him and his friend, the Master.
“Hola” I said “I’m Freyja. And that’s my name being called” I said pointing over to where my mother and father were standing
“Maybe a dance later?” the Doctor asked me
“Absolutely” I said smiling walking over to my family. We were at the annual TimeLord ball it was held every year and every TimeLord of age was to attend. It was mainly a place to get young Timelords to meet their soul mates. Once you’ve found yours you didn’t have to again until you had children that needed escorting. This was my first ball so I wasn’t counting on meeting my soul mate tonight.
“Who was that?” my older sister asked me referring to the Doctor and the Master
“The Doctor and the Master” I said smiling at her.
“Oohh first ball and already getting attention from the men” she teased
“Of she is” my father said proudly “she inherited your mum’s looks”
“I know what you mean she’s an absolute stunner even if she doesn’t find her soul mate tonight she’s sure to come away with plenty of admires wishing they could be her soul mate” my sister said. I blushed and looked down. Everyone told me I was gorgeous but I never saw it. The only gorgeous thing about me was my eyes a bright blue which contrasted amazingly with my jet black hair but that was all I saw.
“Oh look she’s blushing” my sister told my father grinning “Oohh and another admirer coming this way”
“He’s coming for you, for one he’s looking up not down. And the angle at which he is walking says he is heading towards you not me” I said looking up as a man slowly approached us
“Uhmm hello, Karolina, would you like to dace?” he asked timidly she nodded happily and followed him to the dance floor where they began to dance gracefully across the floor. I watched them for a moment a smile on my face. My sister rarely gets attention from other men and it always makes me happy to see one taking an interest in her. I felt a tap on my shoulder and spun around to find myself face to face with the Doctor
“Oh hello again” I said smiling at
“Hello” he said smiling back “would you like to dance now” he asked holding his hand out to me. I looked over t my father for permission as is compulsory at your first night of the ball and he nodded then I took the Doctors hand as he led me to the dance floor. “So first ball?” he asked me as we spun in graceful circles
“Yes it is and I am thoroughly enjoying myself” I answered him “what about you?”
“This is my second. Though I am having much more fun tonight than I did last year” he said winking
“You’re just saying that” I said blushing and looking down at the floor. He chuckled and we continued dancing around the floor. We danced together most of the night and I also danced with his friend the Master. The three of us were currently sitting around a table sipping wine and talking.
“So how many balls have you been to before Freyja?” the Master asked me
“This is my first one what about you?” I asked him
“Technically my third” he said smirking and the Doctor chuckled slightly
“Technically?” I asked leaning toward the two men slightly
“Well it’s my second legal one. My first on I snuck into.” He admitted grinning “The Doctor over here was meant to sneak in with me but he chickened out at the last minute”
“If I came you’d of been in even more trouble because your parents would of had to come and pick you up” the Doctor said defensively. I laughed at the bickering two and leant back in my chair scanning the crowds for my sister, mother of father.
“Freyja! There you are, Mother and Father are going home and wanted to know if you wanted to stay longer, if so you’ll have to get someone to take you home because I’m staying at Matty’s tonight” my sister said quickly with no breath in between “oh hello” she said to the Doctor and the Master
“Hello” the Master said
“I could walk you home if you want to stay” the Doctor told me smiling
“Yeah okay, I’ll stay here Karolina” I said
“Okay I’ll see you tomorrow” she said hugging me “I think he could be the one” she whispered to me
“then go” I said pushing her towards where Matty was standing “have fun, but not much fun but still fun” she laughed and lightly hit my shoulder then skipped off to join Matty
“She seems like a very happy person” the Master commented
“She thinks Matty could be her soul mate” I said grinning happily
“Is this her first dance as well?” the Doctor asked
“No this is her second” I told him
“So older sister” the Doctor said and I nodded. The three of stayed chatting for while then the Master got up declaring that he was to find some ‘yummy TimeLady’ and yeas that is a direct quote Which left just me and the Doctor sitting at the table. “I think there’s only one more dance left, so would you like to dance?” he asked me standing up and offering me his hand
“That would be lovely” I said taking his and letting him lead me to the dance floor. The last song only lasted a few minutes then everybody who was left at the ball was slow pushed out of the building into the crisp night air. The Doctor and I walked back to my house hand in hand talking and admiring the night sky
“Well, good night” the Doctor said as we reached my house
“Uhmm yeah,” I said we stood there in an awkward silence for a few moments looking at each other
“Do you uhmm want to do something tomorrow maybe?”He asked me
“Yeah that’d be fun. Around noon?” I asked him
“Yeah I’ll come and get you” he said I smiled and kissed his cheek
“Good night, Doctor” I said walking into my house smiling happily.
Okay that took alot longer to write than I thought it would and I’m sorry for making you wait so long. But any way it’s here yay! Freya/Freyja and the Doctors first official meeting whoop.
