I'm walking around a nervous wreck right now. My anxiety is at an all time high. I just hope everything is perfect tonight. I begin fidgeting with my colorful finger nails in anticipation.

"Baby you have to relax." Riq says handing me a glass of water. I quickly guzzle it down hoping my nerves will calm down. We walk to the front of my boutique hand in hand and see all of our loved ones waiting. I tip toe towards the door to grant everyone access inside.

"Hey guys welcome to Sorella. Thanks for being here tonight."

I flash all of my pearly whites. My smile brightens more when I see my girls enter the vicinity.

"What's up my Don divas?" I greet them squatting in a ganster pose. Malaysia grabs a hold to me lifting me up from my position.

"Act like you have some home training thug mama." Danielle says

I feel more at ease now that my besties are here. Fuck besties we're more like sisters minus the DNA. They've done more for me than my blood relatives. Their loyalty is out of this world.

The dj begins playing It's A Vibe. Women being swaying their hips and the men are bobbing along to the beat. I spot my mother coming through the door and spring towards her like a child. She hasn't been the perfect example of a parent but I'm trying to grow and leave the bullshit behind us.

"Hey mama." She greets me with a warm inviting hug and I don't decline. She scans the place and I can see a huge smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. For the first time in my life. I sense She's proud of me.

"That boy may not be so bad for you after all." She rolls her eyes referring to my man.

"You know my man name mom."

"Baby there you are. I thought I wouldn't ever get a parking space."

My stomach turns at the sound of his voice. He walks closer and wraps his arm around my mother's waist. Did she seriously bring this nigga here? The warm tears are forming in my eyes and I fight them hard. I see Tariq approaching the three of us clenching his jaw. He pops his knuckles and I see the anger in his brown eyes.
