I woke up with a strange smoky air in the car. I instantly thought that something caught fire.

"Michael! The-" I stopped once looking over and seeing Michael laying back with something lit in his lip.

He laughed long and loudly. "My god Bailey. You really need to calm down. Its just a joint. Want some?"

"I think I'll pass this time around. Where are we?" I asked, looking out my window at the scenery of a truck stop that could use remodeling.

"We are in Virgina Beach. The beach is over there." He pointed to the left. "I drove all night and I'm so wearied, so can you drive to the hotel? Then perhaps we can go to the beach later?"

"Of course. You get some sleep." I said and kissed his cheek gently before getting out of the car and switching sides with him.

I started the car and put the location of our hotel in my phones GPs. I peeked over at the beach and smiled lightly. I've always loved the salty scent of the beach and how the water rolled in to kiss the sand.

I followed the directions the voice through my phone gave me and arrived at our destination. I turned into an empty parking spot and put the car in park. I turned the key, shutting it off and moved in my seat to look at Michael.

He was fast asleep and snoring slightly. He appeared so peaceful and obviously needed the sleep so I didn't want to wake him up with him being in such a deep sleep but we had to go get our room and I'm sure that he would prefer a soft mattress instead of the hard car seats.

I shook him softly. "Michael, we're here."

He groaned some and sat up opening his door. I followed behind him with my things.

I never imagined myself standing here with Michael. I don't even know what has come over me the past couple of days with him. As we are being chased by a gang who wants to hold me hostage and kill Michael we are still acting as if nothing is going wrong. He took me on several small dates. Just ones down by the pond and he'd maybe make dinner or something. It was sweet of him and he opened up so much to me as did I.

"One room, please." I heard Michael say to the red head girl behind the hotel desk.

"Here you go, sir. Oh, and if you need anything at all I'm here all day." She stated, handing him the keys and sending him a wink.

"That won't be needed." I spoke up sending her a little smirk.

She threw me a disgusted look and turned away from us.

"What was that about?" Michael asked me while walking to the elevator.

"She was flirting with you." I said, feeling my cheeks turning red.

"No, she wasn't." He said, shaking his head.

I shook my head in annoyance and walked out onto or floor with Michael leading the way. I walked in and immediately dropped my bags by the bed.

"I'm going to sleep for some. I'll get up in a little while." Michael said while stripping to nothing but his boxers.

I nodded and attempted my best not to stare at the half naked man in front of me.

"You know you want to check me out." He said and sent me a playful wink.

I shook my head and giggled walking over to the balcony. I shut the door behind me and took a seat watching the beach view we had. The salty summer air blew through my hair and I smiled softly at how beautiful it looked.

After a few hours of reading and enjoying the beach air, I decided to wake Michael up. I walked into the room to only discover the bed was empty.

"Michael?" I called while looking around the room.
