Meredith's attack

Chapter 6

Meredith and Derek are sat in the room waiting for the police then they hear a knock at the door.
Derek: come in
Then in walks a male and a female cop
Female cop: Hello I'm here about the sexual assault my name is Laura and this is pat
Derek: Hi my name is Derek and this is Meredith
Female cop: What is your relationship with the victim
Derek: I'm her husband
Female cop were you the one who found her
Derek: Yes
Male cop: Ok we will need a statement from you as well could you come with me
Derek: No I'm staying here if you want a statement I will tell you it here but I'm not leaving her side
Female cop: Ok Derek can you tell me what you know
Derek: well I was at home waiting for Meredith to come home from work to talk because we had a stupid fight this morning but then it got to midnight when she was meant to finish at 10 so I got worried and called the hospital they told me that she left at 10 so I started to get more worried so I called her and she picked up the phone and told me she was hurt and she needed help so I went to the hospital car park where she told me she was and I found her by the car naked and Badly beaten so I gave her my coat and carried her to the hospital
Female cop: Has a rape kit been done
Derek: Yes it's all in that envelope over there
Female cop: Ok Meredith can you tell me what happened
Meredith: A few years ago I met this vet his name was Finn and we started dating but I broke up with him to be with Derek
Female cop: Is this Finn the one who assaulted you
Meredith : Yes
Female cop: Ok carry on
Meredith: Well today after I finished work I went to get in my car and someone grabbed my wrist and turned me around and it was Finn. I told him he was hurting me but he wouldn't let go then he through me to the floor and told me that he would do more than hurt me. I tried to get away but he started punching and kicking me until I was in so much pain I couldn't move then he raped me when he finished he just ran off and left me there. I'm not sure how long I was lying there until Derek called but then Derek came and brought me here.
By this time Meredith was sobbing again
Female cop: Ok if there is anything else here's my card call me
Derek: Ok thank you
Then both the cops left a sobbing Meredith
Meredith: Derek
Derek: Yeah mer
Meredith: I want to go home
So Derek picked Meredith up and took her home.
