CHAPTER 5

Next day you went to your new job as Reigens assistant. You were kinda worried about how much he was gonna pay you though you still had the other job available just in case. Also, you thought this was going to be more fun than sitting in an office all day. Reigen didnt seem like any other person you've ever met.

You arrived at his office. Reigen was sitting on his chair but he looked kinda desperate. His hands were on his head and he was staring at the floor. When you opened the door, he didnt seem to notice you. "Mr. Reigen?", suddenly he looks up at you and stands up, rushing towards where you were standing, "Ms. Y/n! This is terribl3!" , "W-what happened?", "Mob went out on a school trip!". You remembered the boy who had exorcised that spirit in your house. "So what about him?", you asked, not really following him, "He is the one with powers! Hes the real psychic here!", you suddenly understood what he was talking about. Reigen went back to lean on his desk. You thought the situation wasnt that bad but Reigen did look like he was having a mental breakdown. You approached him and leaned close to him, "How long will he be out?", "A-a week", "Only a week? Then thats not that long!", "I know but we have a case today! Someone just called and its urgent!". You were starting to get nervous, was this guy going to pay you at all?!, "Reigen-san we cant depend on Mob forever! What will happen when he goes to university or when he goes somewhere on holidays or...?!" He looked up at you worried, tears in the covers of his eyes, "I'm sorry, this is your first day and... i shouldnt have hired you... im so sorry y/n-san...". You sighed and crossed your arms, "I'm your new assistant and you must have experience facing spirits, so there must be something we can do. We can't give up without knowing what will happen.". He looked at you, "I-i guess you are right... Im sorry." You smiled at him and he blushed "It's alright. Shall we go?" Suddenly you hear knocks on the door and some voices outside, "Our clients", he said. Reigen fixed his tie and suit and forced a smirk when he opened the door, "Ah! I was waiting for you!" , 'liar' you say to yourself.
You look at your clients and sweat drop, they were three recent college graduates who might be into smoking weed, by the looks of their faces thats what you thought.

~Time skip sWOOOOSH~

The three peeps were taking Reigen and you to an abandoned mansion in the middle of nowhere in an rv. You were next to one of them and they smelled so damn bad, you were so going to talk to Reigen about this. You've been inside for some hours now and it became quite dark.
When the guy who is driving stops the car you cant help but to run outside. You appreciated the fresh breeze of the mountain but it was too cold and you didnt take your coat with you.

You were mentally cursing Reigen while they were taking you to see the mansion.
"Tis the place yo!", says one of them. In front of you there was a pretty big abandoned house, you couldn't really tell if it was a mansion but you were sure the place had seen better days in the past. It looked like it was burnt to the ground, by accident? "Does any of you know what happened here?", "Ya, it was set on fire by one of the hosts yo, they said he was nuts and somehow he got mad and damn... there were no survivors dude", "I see...", you looked down, a bit scared. Reigen approached you and whispered, "Do you feel something y/n? Any sort of spirit or...", "No." you said. It was the truth, you didnt see anything move and your senses didnt alert you. One of the guys approaches you with a camera, "yo lady can you take a pic of us in front of this mess?", "uh yeah sure". You took the camera and waited for them to be positioned. Then you took the photo. "Lets see it lets see it!", one of them said. Without seeing it, you showed them the pic and they froze, "what?", you asked. They didn't answer you and ran towards the rv. "Hey! where are you going?!", they started the van and left you in a matter of seconds. Reigen took the camera, which had fallen to the floor, and looked at it. You approached him and froze. The pic showed dozens of spirits around the three druggies. Reigen smiled at you.

"We are gonna need a lot of salt."
