Never Give Up

Chapter 3

The following weekend Bucky knocked on her apartment door and she yelled from the couch "It's open." as she had Chloe latched to her she knew it was Bucky cause he texted her from the elevator and he came in and said "Oh sorry." 

"No it's fine..She's almost done. Where's Aiden." she said

"Oh I um have my parents watching him so we could do this today. I have my uhaul waiting at the brownstone and I've got one for you the guys will be here in a minute." he said 

"Oh..ok. Well my bedroom is ready everything is all boxed up and my bed well it has to be taken apart once you get the mattress and boxspring off." she said 

"ok. Um what about her room." he said

She looked down and said "I only have one bedroom so all of her stuff is in my room too." 

He walked over to her and said "Hey you are doing the best you can Ansley no more beating yourself up." 

"I wish I felt that way after I take her to the doctor." she said 

He wiped a tear the fell and he said "What do you mean." 

"They ask me all these questions about her. Like if I'm doing something called tummy time and if she's eating good and sometimes she won't latch and then now she has acid reflux and I couldn't afford the co pay to get her medicine so now she eats and then cries for hours and they said it was both reflux and her being colic. I work 40 hrs a week and I pay for everything cause Jordan doesn't pay his child support like I told you at the station and it's never enough when I asked what tummy time was all I thought was I'm so damn tired by the time I get home after working at a doctor's office all day that I just want to eat and feed her and got to sleep." she said 

"Sweetheart you are 21 years old doing the best you can with what life handed you and I know how it is AIden is 6 months old and there are weekends I would rather just lay on the couch with him then play in the floor cause I work all week and I'm tired." he said

She unlatched a sleeping Chloe and tried to cover herself up and fixed her shirt. Bucky put Chloe in her car seat and then the guys came in and loaded up the uhaul that Bucky got for her apartment to move to the brownstone. She drove over to the brownstone and he introduced her to the guys and then Natasha came out and said "Ansley wait you are the girl that Bucky said he was going to be room mates with." 

Ansley said "Hi Dr Romanoff." 

"You know Natasha?' he said 

"I work for her. I'm one of her nurses." she said as she looked up at him. 

"She's one of the best in the office. I wish she would let me take her with me when I do my on call hours but this little beauty of hers needs mama too." Natasha said as she pointed to Chloe. 

"Well..what a small world." Bucky said 

They went in and said "I'm putting you and Chloe upstairs on the top floor cause if he does try and show up here he will hit my bedroom first and he won't like what he gets." 

She smiled and said "ok." 

"Now go decide which room is Chloe's and Yours." he said 

She walked up to the top floor and picked which room was hers and which one was Chloe's. Then the guys started to move everything in and the girls helped Ansley start to put everything away in between her having to feed Chloe. After they got done and the guys took the uhauls back. Bucky went by the pharmacy and said "Hi my girlfriend came in here the other day to pick up her daughter's acid reflux medicine but she couldn't afford the co pay the patient's name is Chloe Jacobs her birthday May 20th 2018."
