When Ansley's life got turned up side she made a promise to her little girl that she was going to put her first but when Bucky steps in to bring some peace in her life she found herself wanting to give love another try.
Ansley was pacing in the bathroom she and Bucky had been together a year and hadn't really talked about marriage or having more kids but there she was pacing as she waited for her pregnancy test results. Bucky was downstairs with Chloe and Aiden helping them with breakfast.
"Hey baby are you up?' Bucky said as he enters their bedroom and sees the bed empty. Then hears the bathroom door open and sees Ansley.
"Um...I'm pregnant." she said as she holds the test.
He walked over to her and said "It's ok..I know we haven't talked about any of that yet but I love you Ansley Jasmine Jacobs."
"I love you too." she said
"Don't be afraid baby we have two downstairs we can do it again and this one will be ours made with love." he said as he kissed her stomach.
She laughed and wiped tears. "Now can you please come help with me with sassy pants of a daughter." he whispered in her ear.
She laughed and said "I guess so even though she's sassy with me too."
A few weeks later Ansley and Bucky were sitting at the doctor's office and she said "Ok Ms Jacobs last period was in September and it's now the last week of November. I would say you are 11 weeks pregnant so you are due in June." as she showed them the ultrasound on the screen.
They both smiled as they left and he said "So this means that we can start telling everyone."
"I guess so..I didn't really tell anyone when I was pregnant with Chloe till I popped out but considering my pants didn't fit me this morning I'm assuming that it will be different with her." she said
He came over and put his hands on her stomach and said "baby you look beautiful and you are going to look beautiful all big and pregnant. I saw your pregnancy belly pictures with Chloe and you looked beautiful."
She smiled and said "Whatever you say."
"I do say and by the way there is something I want to ask you." he said
"ok." she said
"Is there a particular diamond color you like..pink blue yellow green red purple." he said
"Um I like blue preferably our birthstone color why?'" she said
"Cause I have to get you Christmas presents baby." he said
"Well ok.." she said
"Now you get to work before Natasha has my head. I love you gorgeous.' he said as he kissed her. They got into their cars and went back to work after work Bucky went by the jewelry store.
"Hey George" Bucky said
"Hey Mr Barnes how are you?' he said
"I'm doing well..I need to buy my girl some Christmas presents. She says that she the color blue prefereably our birthstone blue which is aquamarine." Bucky said
"Well let's get started." George said.
Bucky picked out an engagement ring for Ansley and had engraved on the inside Ansley and James Always and Forever and the date he met her for the first time. He made reservations for dinner for the night he wanted to propose to her. He made arrangements with his mom and dad to watch Chloe and Aiden for him. And was praying to the weather gods that it snows cause she loves snow and always talked about how it's romantic to kiss in the rain and snow.
*2 weeks later*
"Baby hurry up we are going to be late for dinner." Bucky yelled upstairs.
"I'm coming I'm coming geez why are you in such a rush to get to dinner." she said as she came down the stairs in a red dress with black tights and black heels and her baby bump on full display as she was 13 and half weeks but already starting to show.
"Baby you look gorgeous tonight." he said as he kissed her hard almost knocking her over.
"Mmm I do love those kisses baby. Now did your mom already pick up the kids." she said
"Yeah she came while you were taking your sweet ass time in the shower." he said
She made a sad face and said "I didn't get to kiss Chloe goodbye."
"Aww baby she will be back in the morning." he said as he helped her get her coat on and then they went out the door.
They headed to the restaurant The River Café and they walked in and he said "Dinner reservation for two under Barnes."
"Right this way Mr Barnes." the hostess said
She took them to their table and they ordered water to drink and then their food. They talked about their work week and what to get the kids for Christmas. Then their waiter brought them their food and more water. After they ate dinner he ordered them a dessert and they shared a slice of peanut butter pie. They paid for dinner and then they left. It started to snow as they pulled into central park. He was thanking his lucky stars that it did and she said "Baby what are you doing. Why are we walking in Central Park in the middle of winter."
"Because I have a surprise for you baby..I wanted tonight to be special." he said as he stopped.
He cupped her face and he kissed her and whispered "I love you baby."
"I love you too. You are acting really strange Bucky what's going on ." she said
"Shh." he said with a smile.
She swallowed hard and he said "Ansley Jasmine Jacobs you will never know how much in a year you have changed my life. The first day I ever met you all I wanted to do was chase after you and tell you that I wanted to make all the pain and stress go away and ask you to dinner I didn't care that you were only 21 all I cared about was seeing all the hurt in these dark blue eyes of yours. Being with you has made me so happy that I can't imagine a life without you in it. You make the bad days better with this gorgeous smile of yours and watching you be mommy to Chloe and to Aiden on the weekends makes me love you more. Now we have one on the way that is a combination of the two of us that was made with love and that I can't wait for you. So um Ansley baby will you please marry me?' as he got down on one knee and popped open the box.
She gasped and said "Yes!!" as she took off her glove and she said "omg I thought you were breaking up with me you were acting strange all day and it was because of this."
"Baby I love you and you are having my baby why would I leave you." he said as he kissed her.

"Oh god you planned a romantic night just for us so you could do this." she said
"I did and I prayed to the weather gods that it would snow and they delivered." he said with a smile and she whispered "This is so so gorgeous baby."
He showed her the inside where he had it engraved it and she smiled and said "Baby I love it."
They walked back to the car and headed back to Brooklyn and went home and got warm by the fireplace and made love to each other.
