"Wakey wakey sleepy head" a sing-song voice coos. "Ten more minutes" I say clearly annoyed that some would wake me up during my first real sleep. "Come on the police are here to get you" the voice says in a more serious tone.
My eyes fly open and I hug the sheets to my chest. I start to cry and I look up to see Daniel towering over me. His face carries an evil smile that ripped my heart out.
Daniel grabbes both my wrists and haul me out of bed. I hit the ground with a hard thud but he doesn't care. He just kept on dragging me, through the hallway and down the stairs.
"How could you?" I screamed. "I trusted you! I thought you were different and cared about me, but I was wrong-" I couldn't complete my sentence because a sob errupted from my mouth.
I probably sound like and injured animal screaming for help. I feel like and injured animal screaming for help. Screaming for my parents. Screaming for my foster parents. Screaming for anyone who cared.
Daniel through me to the ground and stared at me. "You think I care about you? You're worthless, a goldfish has more sense than you. I hope you rot in jail!" he spits.
No, this can't be happening I think to myself. Daniel hauls me outside and throws me in front of a policeman. I look up and see my foster dad. My mum stands behind him in the same uniform.
"You've been a naughty girl Darcy!" she screams at me. Tears are streaming down my face, sobs coming out of my mouth every second. Then my foster dad lifts up a baseball bat above his head. No, this can't be happening!
He let the bat fall he puts force behind the blow and soon, my world goes black.
