I find Fly and sit down against the side of the carriage listening to the wind howling as we move over the ground, smooth and swift. Then, a box near the other end of the carriage falls down with a loud thump.

"Crap!" a female voice says. "Who's there?" I yell. "Don't worry I'm not going to kill you" says the voice. And then, a tall girl around my age slowly walks out from behind the pile of boxes. She has shoulder length electric blue hair which surprisingly suits her.

"What's ya name kiddo?" she asks me. "Um, Darcy, you?" I say, even though I'm slightly annoyed that she called me a kid. "Gabrielle" she answeres. "Why are you on the train?" I ask a little to accusingly. "I could say the same thing about you, but I won't. I'm running away from my family" Gabrielle says dramatically.

"I am sick and tired of my parents saying they love me but instead of being with me every spare time they get, they're always at work or at fancy dinner parties with they're clients. And don't get me started on my siblings, they treat me like I'm nothing. They blame everything on me" she counts all the things they do to her on her fingers.

"They give me all the hard chores and I'm just sick of it!" she shouts so loud I think she might explode. She shakes herself out and calms down.

"So, why are you here?" she asks me. Should I tell her? Why not, she's just like me but with different reasons for running away. "I found out I'm adopted and I'm going to try and find my parents" I say triumphantly.

"How are you going to find them?" she asks me while getting comfortable on a large box. I think for a moment. Then it hits me, I don't know how I'm going to find them, or if they're even alive.

"Oh my god, how can I be so stupid!" I exclaim. I look up at Gabrielle tears threatening to flow. "I don't even know where to start. Where's this train heading" I basically scream the question at her.

"Calm down" she says coming to sit down next to me. "This train's apparently going to Karlton, well that's what the train guys are saying". Karlton, it sounds familiar,  could it hold all the secrets about my parents.

"Ok, are you getting off there?" I ask her trying not to sob. "Nah, I'm going to Daleton, I think its two stops after Karlton-" a long shrill whistle interrupts what Gabrielle was about to say.

"Wup,there you go your stops here. I'd jump now so you're not caught. Oh and before you leave, raid that box over there" she says pointing to my left. I stand up and quickly walk over to a large box.

It's filled with cans and packets of different food even dog food luckily. I can't believe I forgot my own food. I grab anything my hand touches and shove them into my bag. I also grab two bottles of water, cans of dog food and a knife, fork and spoon.

I walk over to Gabrielle and pull her into a tight hug. It takes her by surprise but she soon relaxes and hugs me back.  "Thankyou for helping, I hope you have fun and are safe in your new home" I whisper to her. "I hope you find your perents" she says back.

I shove open the carriage door, wind wipping my hair across my face. "Fly!" I shout over the train and wind. The dog trots up to me ready for the jump. I pick her up and hug her to my chest.

I think to myself: "One, two... three!" I jump out of the train and the ground hits me like nothing else. I rub my hip and already a bruse is appearing.  I let Fly walk around checking if she is injured. We're both fine.

I look back at the train and wave at Gabrielle who is standing in the doorway. Soon she tucks her electric blue hair back inside the carriage and when the train turns another bend, Fly and I are alone again.
