Thewhole world simply felt low resolution, a bad quality movie as randomimages seemed to float aimlessly around in the never ending hurricaneof my thoughts as myeyes began to drift closed. I was blissfully unaware of what wasgoing on around me when my cell phone pinged;'Hey,you up?'

Thetext came through about 2:30pm as I was actually just waking up froman all night movie binge so technically in these moments it felt likeI was zombie.

'No.'I texted back, my eyes squinting by the irritation from the brightscreen.

'Wellwake up! I'm bored.' Mackenzie texted back as if no wasn't goingto be an answer, no matter how much I fought against her.

'Wellhave your girlfriend deal with it. I'm sleeping in today.' Iresponded a bit rudely hoping to brush the young girl off since Iwished to ber alone.

'Getup!!!!'

'Makeme.' I sent flirtatiously.

'Isthat a challenge mama?' Mackenzie flirted back.

'Onlyif you accept it babygirl.' Not shortly after I had press sendwas there at my door that lead to the porch, I couldn't help butlaugh before getting up and out of bed.

"I didn't order a wake up call." I teased leaning sleepingly.

"Yougot one as a special delivery." Mackenzie laughed walking straightinto my room taking a seat on the bed.

"Makeyourself comfortable." I chuckled knowing that Mackenzie alwaysdid.

"Comeon, get dressed." Mackenzie instructed slapping my leg in a playfulmanner.

"Iam dressed."

"Rippedjeans and a wrinkled over sized band t-shirt that you clearly sleptin doesn't count as being dressed Carter." She criticized, judging mylounge wear.

"It'sstay at home chic' Ms. Fashion Police. I have no plans for the daybut to stay in." I played to my defense as I laid down next toMackenzie.

"Nottoday loser, now get up."

"No."I mumbled through the pillow.

"Yes!"

"Makeme; Mackenzie."

"Fine."

"What?"

"You'rerefusing to cooperate so I guess I have to make you."Mackenziestated standing up and getting off the bed before I felt her fingerswrap around my ankles.

"I'mnot ticklish if that's your plan." I laughed but Mackenzie saidnothing in return as her warm fingers tapped against my cold skincausing me to grow nervous.

"It'snot to late to give in Carter; I won't think any less of you."Mackenzie stated as her grip locked tight and she stared me down, hericyblueness generated a feeling like I was being pulled into a lake offrozen emotions.

"Letme go Kenzie." I sighed somewhat relaxing and calling her bluff.

"Areyou going to get dressed and come next door with me?" She askedloosening her hold on me.

"Whatare you going to do if I refuse." I baited trying to see the younggirls tactic of coaxing me out of my room.

"I'llmake you, duh."

"How?"

"I'lldrag your little ass out of this hole and across the yard, that'show." Mackenzie answered her words and expression sturn.

"Youwouldn't dare." I challenged trying to stay level headed.

"Bet."The single worded answer caused knots in my stomach to ache as now Iknew that Mackenzie wasn't playing around and had all the intentionsto do what she's insisting; another thing I learned about this girl.If she wanted something badly enough she'd find a way to get it andthat slightly scared me.
