"Ah, Jaemin! On that part you need to really put your chest into the movement, okay?" Renjun, the chocolate haired angel the two backup dancers had set their sights on ever since he became a big hit with his collaboration with three other artists and their single, Without You, announced. Jaemin pouted at the words and held himself back from throttling Jeno who was sporting his usual smirk.
He was soon knocked down from his high horse, though, when Renjun connected their sights through the reflection in the wall-wide mirror they were facing. "Jeno, your footwork in the chorus needs a bit more practice."
A comical frown plastered the handsome boy's features as Jaemin stuck out his tongue and did a small victory dance.
"Either way, you're both amazing! I'm so glad Mark chose you two!" Renjun spoke through a wide grin before his phone rang and he walked off to the side to answer it.
"Did he just--"
"That was so beautiful, oh my god."
Both boys were taken aback from seeing Renjun's smile up close, especially Jaemin who's knees nearly buckled.
Renjun suddenly covered the receiver on his phone and shouted, "I'll be back in a few minutes! Sorry for this!"
Jeno's feet dragged him over to the younger dancer as he threw an arm over his shoulder. "What do you reckon is his type?" Jeno's lips were pursed and his brow was furrowed seemingly deep in thought.
Jaemin looked at him in the mirror. "Probably someone that looks good no matter what sort of ugly expression they're pulling..."
Then his eyes cast back to his own reflection. "Like me."
The younger out of the two couldn't believe he actually thought Jeno looked handsome whilst thinking so carefully. Well, it wasn't like seeing Jeno with his brow creased and his dark eyes formed into thin almonds wasn't handsome at all, in fact, he looked kind of hot.
Wait, what?! Did he really just think that?!
Lee Jeno, hot?
The Smelly Jenojaem, hot?
Absolutely unheard of! Who could be hot when their jawline and cheekbones were so prominent and clearly waiting to be kissed and covered in hickeys? Who in their right mind would think someone with fluffy stark black hair and perfect lips that he would love to see bitten was anything close to hot?!
Definitely not Na Jaemin, that's for sure.
"Jaemin, are you copying me?" Jeno asked, pinching toffee boy's cheeks with a coo when he saw him absentmindedly thinking about the expression he totally didn't find attractive.
Jaemin blinked and relaxed his face. "What? Of course not!" He blushed in embarrassment and slapped away the older's hand.
Jeno smiled. Jaemin could actually be cute sometimes.
"Anyway," the latter cleared his throat. "He seems like the type to want someone to boss around and make him run errands for him."
Jeno's jaw dropped. "What? No way! Do you really think he's like that? He seems more like the type to want to be taught by his partner and look up to him."
Jaemin laughed. "I like how we just both assumed he's gay."
"Nana, you know he is." The older smiled and his eyes formed crescent moons.
Jaemin looked away from the pretty sight and swallowed. "That's true."
The glass door opened once again and Renjun came back in with his usual smile on his lips. Turning to Jaemin, he asked, "I'm going to dance the first chorus part. Could you watch and tell me where to improve?"
