• Chapter Thirteen •
Photo shoots here, interviews there, concerts everywhere. Who knew that life on the road would be so restless. It is always painted in an everyday fellows mind that celebrities live this high end, glamorous life but its anything but that. Work for them is genuinely 24/7 and hardly magically or glamorous. The only glamour I get a glimpse of is the extensive makeup sessions needed to eliminate the purple ovals beneath the eyes or red patches from pimples breaking out because time for eating healthy isn't on the itinerary.
It's my second month on the road and we have established ourselves in Ireland from previously visiting Wales, before we bounce back to England to a whole month and Scotland again. Management have already established that visiting family back home is dangerous but my heart aches from missing my mother and Caroline, simply calling does not suffice anymore. I miss Cheshire, I miss the crisp morning air and fresh bread.
Although I miss home, nothing can by pass the views in Ireland. It was no wonder Niall spoke of it so highly. That's the other thing, we will all be accompanying Niall to his home town and having dinner with his family which I believe would be quite nice. Yes there are double standards, that Niall can see his family and home but there is 4 of the boys in England so catering to everyone's demand will become an issue.
Nevertheless, Ireland was captivating. The country, but of course was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life (although, I do say this about every new country I visit), but the quaint pubs and gorgeous Irish accents are what blows me away. Thank fully, Niall and I have managed to come closer so the accent is never too far away.
Come to think of it, I've become closer to all the boys, they're like my older brothers, looking after me on the road. All except one.
With Niall, he's the one that I can slouch with on the jet playing video games and discussing our favourite parts of the trip. Niall's hilarious, although more reserved with his personal life. But I'm sure he tells the boys all that there is to know. There is something about these boys that is magical. Their connection; they don't feed off each others success. Instead they build it together, as one unit; as a family. It's remarkable.
Next is Louis, he's the one that reminds me more of Brandon, although I don't mean to compare them. Louis is the one I turn to when I need cheering up, or he's actually the one who finds new innovating ways to wake me up when I sleep past my alarm. He's like a best friend I would have in class that when someone says something stupid, I would look at him and we'd both smile. His charismatic smile is a charmer.
Liam, he's the one I tend to wind down with after a stressful or busy day. The outstanding quality about Liam is that he listens to me, like really listens. Once I'm done venting, he rests his ear for a few moments, really thinks about what he is saying and adds in an honest perspective. I highly value his opinion.
And last but not least. Zayn. My sleeping buddy. The pair of us are always finding one secluded zone away from the noise to catch up on some sleep. When we're not sleeping, we're talking about girls or guys in my case, our friends, family. Whenever I'm feeling home sick, I just find Zayn and he always opens his arms because he just knows.
Then there is always Harry Styles. A mystery I'm struggling to puzzle out. I'm good at algebra, worded problems, complicated questions so why is it so hard to profile one guy that the tabloids claim to have all figured out. There's something beneath all the bad ass layers, beneath the skin, the wounds and bruising but I haven't been successful in figuring out what that thing is that makes Harry, Harry. The thing about that though, is that I'm grateful that I don't have him all figured out yet. It makes every moment with him more exciting, chilling. Those are the moments I thrive on, when one piece of the puzzle is placed because I closer to him.
