Beauty

When did you see me
Truly see me?
I was always there
And you know it,
You just never saw me,
Was it not worth your time?
Did I bore you?
You know,
I loved you,
I truly did,
I changed everything for you,
To be the perfect one for you,
Did you see me?
Did you notice my change?
Or did you just not care?
But soon,
I realized I was nothing to you,
So I moved on,
And left,
But when I was gone,
You noticed me,
You saw my beauty,
And you enjoyed it,
But soon,
You started to see my pain,
I buried it,
Deep
Deep down,
So no one could find it,
But you dug deeper
And deeper
Into my beauty,
And found sorrow,
An over abundance of it,
You saw all the pain,
I put on myself,
You be perfect for you,
As you saw what I went through,
You didn't want my beauty,
You wanted to take my pain,
And kill it,
And banish it,
But you know,
The only way to do that,
Was for you to
Leave
Then,
I could be happy with
Myself
