What is Desi Lihaaz?
Desi Lihaaz is a writing contest, a spin-off of the Mystic Awards chain. Started off on the personal account of one of the founders', the contest has made its way unto its second take. The name in itself suggests the theme behind the books we are looking for.
We, the founders of the Mystic Awards, value our culture and tradition whether we live in India or not and while we move forward with time, we want to see how the writers on Wattpad mold the Indian community into their contemporary novels.
Who is eligible to participate?
Any one who can write, which we believe is everyone who is capable of holding a pen.
You do not have to be an Indian in order to take part in this contest. You only have to be willing to incorporate Indian characters and/or culture into your story.
Check out the writing themes in order to get started on your all new novel.
Do I have to write a new story for this contest?
Yes!
It is a writing contest. If your story is not newly written, it would be pointless and then it would be better off for some awards instead.
Sorry but there will be no exception to this rule. That is why as a heads up, we are announcing the coming up of this contest a month in advance. If you are a smart writer, you will click on the next button, have a look at the writing themes, choose one theme, start researching and plotting your story so it is ready to go as soon as the New Year begins.
