tayley
The pounding in the door had to be Taylor. He'd gone out for a drink with his girlfriend, and now he was probably drunk out of his mind. I dragged myself out of bed and opened the door.
"Oh hey Hayley! What are you doing here?" He asked. I rolled my eyes and he stumbled into my house.
"Where's Jenna?" I sighed.
"Who?" He closed the door and started walking to the kitchen. I followed closely behind him, then slipped past to get him some water, hoping he'd sober up slightly so I could drive him home without any distractions.
"Where did the lights go?!" He shouted. I placed the water on the table and switched on the living room light.
"Drink," I said, passing him the water.
"I found 'em," he pointed to the ceiling. I pulled him to the sofa and passed him the drink. He downed the whole thing.
"Slow down!" I exclaimed. Some water fell down his chin and he breathed out.
"I'll take you home," I sighed, taking his hand. He lied down on my sofa and pulled me on with him.
"Taylor-" i started. He shushed me and pressed a finger onto my lips. He wrapped his arms tightly around me.
"I love you Hayley," he said, slurring my name. I pulled away his finger and glanced up at him.
"Taylor we can't-"
"Shush! You're ruining the moment! I love you Hayley. I loved you when you dated Josh and through the split. I love it when you're happy and I love all your hair colours - but I hate that dude," he yawned and cut himself off.
"That guy...uh...Chad! I hate Chad. He's so tall and ugh," the happiness I once felt obliterated at the mention of his name. I still hadn't told told Taylor we were separated. He thought I was back in Nashville to write for the new album, but I was only here because Chad wanted me to stay somewhere else while we were figuring us out, and I knew it would take a while because of everything that happened.
"Noooooo! No don't cry!" He exclaimed to me, wiping the tears from my eyes.
"I love you sooooooooooo much. Like - soooooooo much. You have an amazing-"
"You're drunk," I sighed. Part of me wished he actually meant what he was saying, but I knew it just couldn't happen.
"You're like a teddy bear," he mumbled, wrapping his arms further around me and kissing my cheek. I leaned away from him. He has a girlfriend and I have a husband - kind of - but still he has a girlfriend. He pulled me into an uncomfortable position and I just let it happen. I shouldn't have - but I did. I jumped at the sound of the door knocking. Who would be here at 3am?
"Taylor?" I said, trying to crawl out of his grip. I looked up at him and saw he was asleep. Great. My arms were trapped at my sides and the door knocked louder.
"Taylor wake up," he didn't budge.
"Hayley I know it's late but I've been thinking and I miss you. I miss us," I stopped trying to get away from Taylor the moment I heard his voice. My phone started ringing loudly and T groaned and adjusted his position.
"I know you can hear me, Hayley. Just open the door and we can talk," Taylor's grip on me loosened as he fell into a deeper sleep. I took a moment, before standing up and slowly walking to the door. I peaked through the peephole and sighed. He looked tired. Fuck it. I opened the door and his eyes locked on me.
"Hayley," he sighed. His expression changed into something I couldn't recognise.
"What do you want?" I asked bluntly.
