You were like an Amaryllis.

A beautiful blossom of petals, stained with a blood-red hue, with such pride and determination to do anything and everything.

That's what you were to me, in a bundle of words.

You made me fall head over heels for you, even if the stars in our night skies never aligned, and the sunlight against the horizon looked different to us.

You were so bright and full of energy when I first laid my eyes on you.

A raging fire of lust and passion burning in your colorful soul, that made me feel like I found something worth fighting for.

They were right when they said Amaryllises were full of radiant beauty.

Because you were beauty, and within your blooms, there was more beauty to be shown.

But we both knew, that beneath your magical aura, and beautifully tended petals, that there were also sharp, thick thorns.

Thorns wanting to prick my fingers, from touching the evanescent light that was you.

What happened to you?

"Hey, Hwayoung." Hoseok placed his bag beneath the counter of the flower shop, while delivering his iconic, large smile.

I smiled back and gave him a small hug, awaiting the time we met again even if we had just hours ago.

"It's been a while since I've seen you," I said, under the material of his fuzzy jumper.

He chuckled, while placing his head on my shoulder. "It's literally been a day. You need to chill, Daisy."

I couldn't help but feel light-hearted again, hearing his soft, deep voice renouncing my name as a flower.

Ever since he started working at the flower shop, he had a daily habit to call me different flower names.

Maybe because my real name, Hwayoung, meant beautiful flower.

It was a beautiful thing that we shared with one another, and no one ever knew about it.

It was our own crimson secret.

And I fell in love with him for that.

I pull away from the hug finally, and his smile correlates the flowers behind him.

Colorful, cared for and loved.

"We have a lot to do before this day ends," I said, as he walked toward me again, this time, trying to bite his smile away.

He dusted his hands on the front of his jeans, while scrunching his nose up.

"Then I guess we should get working before we end up here all night." He responded.

I looked at the flowers behind him.

Hiding away the treasures of my sorrow, I agreed with a nod.

"I guess we should then."
