You were a hydrangea after all of the violent winds, the troubling clouds and the crashing and coursing of waves.

You were so frigid, and heartless.

Stubborn, and isolated.

Drawn away from me and my rays of sunlight, too scared to rest in the paddocks of green grass beside a river of tears.

You were fading away, and I knew that by the time your petals wisped with the last dawn of spring, I would miss you.

Or maybe, just the colorful memory of you.

How dare I want you though, when all I gave you was pain.

How dare I think about my wanting for your skin against mine, when all I felt was your cold touch.

Even thinking of your smile was so painstakingly wrong, because why did I have any right to think of you, when everything I thought of wasn't the happiest times for you and me.

After all I had put on your fragile leaves, why did I still want to be the softness to your petals, the clear white snowflakes of your winters?

No matter how much it hurt me, and no matter how much I had to endure, I still wanted to be the reason why you bloomed and smiled.

I still wanted to be there when you cried with the rain, or when you shined like the sun.

So please, just one last time, give me a smile.

A smile so bright, that even if it hurts me, it will still be the best memory I could still have of you.

A smile, just as beautiful as our love.

"So where are we off to, Mr. Jung?"

We zoom through the streets of Seoul, passing little children, and old couples, hand in hand beside oak trees and bakeries.

Hoseok is behind the wheel, looking around the streets for anything familiar.

He smiles once he reads the green street signs, pointing in many directions throughout the country.

"Okay then, that's okay. Just ignore me and my curiosity." I mumble, while slouching against the passenger seat.

"I will," He replied, before taking a right on the main road. "Because we're nearly there, and if I tell you now, it'll ruin the surprise."

I pout, as my head rests against the car window.

As he turned, a bustling street started to appear.

Tall houses sat in lines, both modern and rustic. They were lean and bright, shining yellow lights from the wall-to-ceiling windows.

Seagulls flew in colonies, throughout a sky of orange and yellow, and by the open window that sat beside Hoseok, the air reeked of salt and water.

My eyes brightened as I turned to see my surroundings.

Suddenly the car stopped beside a wooden fence, that separated the mainland from the beach.

I looked at Hoseok with raised eyebrows, and he only brushed his hands through his hair.

"I hope you remember this place, just as much as I do."
