Today, I sat and ponder
Back to when we were young and stubborn
Those thoughts of us causing joy and laughter inside our hearts
The warm and fuzzy feelings we both got drunk on
To flash forward today
I now realize of my mistakes
The feelings have been ceasing
And the elephant grows bigger
I know of what I've done and I cry for what I didn't appreciate
Even if you think you don't deserve it
I give you my apologies and hope to once again share the sight of what we once saw clearly
So that we can make up for what time has kept misleadin
