Pokémon: Red's Stories

Third day of travel

I arrived Cerulean City this morning after passing through Mt. Moon, it took me more than expected to get through Mt. Moon, it's embarrasing, but I did get lost when I passed through the mountain. I spent night inside the mountain, and when the moon came out, I saw something amazing! Clefairy and Clefable gathered around a giantic stone under a whole in the roof so the full moon shone down on the stone and revealed it was a Moon Stone. The pokémon danced around it the whole night! It was an amazing experience. Early next morning I found the exit on the Cerulean side of the mountain.

When I reached Cerulean I headed straight towards the pokémon center. Nurse Joy asked if it was I who was the one called Red. Turned out my mother had sent a package for me to the center. It was a PokéGear with a letter. Turnes out it was a birthday gift. I had totally forgot which date it is today, August the 8th. In the letter my mom congratulated me wi my birthday and told me she was proud of me. The PokéGear was preprogrammed with the phone numbers of all my friends, Blue, Green, Misty, mom, Oak...

While I was playing around with my new PokéGear, Misty showed up in the Pokémon Center, and man, she was happy to see me! She jumped at me and gave me a hug. As usual around that girl I couldn't get a single word out, she makes me more nervous than the time I faced Mewtwo on my own. She remembered my birthday, after all these years. She asked me out on a date to celebrate tonight, I can feel the butterfrees in my stomach already starting to fly around.

I better find a store who sells some clothes, I can't show up in this hat and vest at this date!

I am so excited!

For those who don't know, according to the Pokémon Adventure manga, Red's and Giovanni's birthday is today, 08.08, so I felt like writing a birthday entry, so happy birthday, Red!
