Niall's bottom lip is bleeding and his knuckles are wounded too. But I am more worried about Liam, who is lying under him getting one fist on his head followed by another. Liam is in most of the classes I'm attending since January. Although it is June already, I don't know the people that are in my classes. I know the names and their faces but I never insisted being friends with anyone in Attleboro because after school I'm moving back to New York.
"Niall! Stop!" I scream as I run towards him and the boy under him.
"April? The hell are you to tell me to stop?!" He yells at me, briefly gazing at me, but then he glances back at the poor guy that is bleeding on the head.
"You'll kill Liam! Stop! Now!" I still scream. I never have been in such a fight yet and I hope this is also the last time because both are bleeding and it's disgusting. The blood streams out of some cuts in their faces and it just doesn't seem that the red liquor will stop to escape their bruises.
"This fucking guy deserves to die anyway," he answers and with one movement he's standing because Geoff lifted him up. I'm turning my attention to Liam and Sheila hands me a tissue, so I can wipe away the blood from his face.
"Why are you so kind to help me?" He asks.
"This guy there,” I spit but Liam cuts me off.
"Niall?"
"Yes, Niall, is forced to walk me home because about three weeks ago I almost got raped," I have no problem telling him about this, I somehow just feel safe around this boy who I never really talked to. I know that we're in the same class, but not more, actually. I've never had this feeling before; I'm not quick in getting comfortable with people, let alone strangers.
"You almost got raped? That's why you denied that you've really got raped. Sure. And now March is acting like a little drama queen. You did not get raped, only nearly, so you don't need protection at all." Niall heard it. Yay.
"I would've got raped if there wasn't someone beating that rapist's ass up!" I start crying because my mind is full of reminders of this disgusting man touching me. It’s only been two weeks.
"April, come here," Sheila opens her arms to offer me a hug and I run into them and soak her clothes with my tears.
"I hate remembering it," I sob.
"I know, I know you do," she comforts me.
"April, if there's something I can do, I will. I know that it's hard to get over such experience," Liam stands and I turn to embrace him. His hand is stroking my back up and down and I'm soaking his shirt as well. Geoff is still holding Niall's wrists but after some minutes Niall escapes from Geoff's grip and leaves our crying and comfort session.
"Finally," I hear Sheila sigh.
"He's an idiot," Liam's hand now moves up to my hair and is stroking it gently. I start feeling uncomfortable with him getting so close after we just talked a few sentences and in some way I regret telling a stranger about the almost-rape-thing.
"Yeah, I'll just go home now," I mutter and back away from the hug.

Yesterday opened my eyes. I thought Niall is such a boy who thinks he might is cool or something, but this was just... Unbelievable. Niall is such a typical bad boy that is fighting against everyone and actually I've never planned on knowing such person but now I'm seeing one every day.
"Hey, April," I hear a familiar voice greeting me. I don't know who this voice belongs to, so I turn around to find Liam standing beside me by my locker.
"Oh, hi Liam." Even though I didn't enjoy him getting so close yesterday, I like the idea of having him around me. He isn't such a bad boy at least and I think that we could get really close friends. "Who do you know from that my locker is here?"
"Bethany told me," he answers. Bethany's locker is right next to mine, therefore she knows the number of it, but seriously, does she have to tell everyone?
"Okay? Anyways, have you studied for the math test tomorrow?"
"Yeah, well, a bit, not really," he answers with a cute chuckle.
"Me neither,“ I smile at him. "Do you want to come with me after school? I can tell Niall that he doesn't have to bring me home today," I suggest.
"Yeah, would be great actually," his smile is so adorable, and Liam is so likable.
"Well, I'll try to find Niall to let him know he's got a day off today," I smile at him once more then turn around to find the devil standing in front of me.
"I've heard everything, and nope, I will walk you home, not this jerk," Niall's voice is so annoying.
"Yeah, uhm, Niall, you know that I only spend time with you because you did anything to this school and you are punished by walking me home because I need protection. I am not going to let you get away with listening to my conversation with friends or, I don't know, just, you will walk me home if I don't have somebody else who can come with me, okay?" I make him clear that I'm not enjoying his presence.
"No."
"No?!"
"That's my job, not anyone else's one,"
"Liam, let's go," I grab Liam's arm and lead him outside the school.
