The Unspoken Truth

Chapter One

Michigan, where you never know what the weather will be like. The names Carmen, Carmen York. My BEST FRIEND, Willow Grey, and I grew up here. It's the middle of October and it's snowing. We are graduating college in two months, I'm so proud of myself but not only me, but Willow. She is amazing, and she went into cosmetology. Being a hairdresser is her passion, she has always talked about that or being an author. Whichever she chose I was along side her with whatever she wanted to do. We are kinda amazed on how fast college went. We never liked the thought of more school after getting out of high school. Her and I we were like the same person printed twice, we have so much in common. Tomorrow we have our final exams and than we have to wait, the agonizing and miserable wait to see if we graduate. I'm the type of person that studies and loose sleep over test and it sucks cause Willow and I don't have the same dorm room. It's 8 o'clock now so I think I better start studying, as soon as I open my book I think to myself this is so much and I still need a shower. The next time I click my phone on it's 1 A.M, I jumped up and run to my dresser drawers I grab the fist few things I seen and run to the bathroom. I jump in the shower it seemed like 5 minutes and I was right back out hopping into my warm cozy bed. As I felt the fuzziness from my blanket I drifted fast asleep. It seemed like only five minutes and my alarm was going off, I roll over and shut my alarm off and lay back rubbing my eyes. I slowly drag myself out of bed and walk to my dresser thinking on what to wear. I pull out a black pair of leggings and a gray loose fitting sweater-shirt, I also grab leg warmers and my ugg boots. As I stand there staring at my self in my full body mirror I think about what to do with my hair. I check the time it's 5:15 I'm doing good on time I think I'll curl my hair and do my makeup. I check my phone one last time it's 6:05 shit! I have 15 minutes to get to the other side of the building. As I walk out and close and lock my door I turn around and scream " Willow! You fucking scared the shit outta me" Willow laughs. I say " do you think that shit is really funny?" She smirks and says " of course I do, it's really funny to watch you get scared" I roll my eyes and say " we got 10 minutes to get to the auditorium." We get there with 1 minute to spare we sit all the way up in the back corner. The auditorium is filled every single seat taken. It's a big room, I start to bounce my knees up and down and Willow looks at me and says "ya nervious?" I look at her and have a light smile and say "yeah a little bit, are you?" She gives me this look and says " Carmen you know me, I never study for anything. ANYTHING! but I did a little last night." I look at her and whisper "so your nervous?" I chuckled a little bit. These people is front of us had a dead ass stare on us and all 3 of them in sequence shushed  me and Willow. Willow looks at me and back at them and says " oh fuck off! suck my dick" and the 3 of them and including me stare at Willow with our mouths wide. Willow looks at me and says "what? The fuckers had it coming." I said "yeah but that's a good way to get ur ass kicked out so chill out would ya! We are so close to graduation." Willow gives me a scowl and says "fine I'll behave" and slumps back into her chair. The professors pass out all the test to the correct people for their class, the professors each have microphones and they go through them all asking if everyone has the correct test. The head of the college asks " you have 3 hours to complete your exam good luck to you all your time starts now." As I look at my test, I've never seen any of these questions before. I panic as I circle answers, I look over at Willow and I don't see no emotion in her face she is just on a roll. I look back at my paper and I have 50 more questions so I spring on and keep going. "5 more minutes" the professors yell in there microphones. I'm on my last question and an air horn goes off I hurry and circle a random answer and drop my pencil. I let out a big sigh and Willow looks at me and says "what's wrong? Was it tuff?" I said "hell yeah it was crazy there were a bunch of questions I've never even seen." Everyone is the auditorium scream "yay" and I lean over to Willow and asked "what just happened?" And she said "apparently sense this was our last exam we get a month off to wait for our results" I look at her with the biggest smile on my face and scream "HELL YEAH!". The head of the college releases us and everyone is scattering so I grab Wiillows hand and say "c'mon" we take off running through the door and one of the professors at the exit door yells  at us " slow down!" We run to Willows truck and hop in she asks "where are we going" I told Willow "go to McDonald's it's on me" Willow goes "you don't have to tell me twice" and put the truck in drive and we peel off.

Hello, to the readers reading my book so far I'm not the greatest on my grammar and punctuation so please go easy on me I've been wanting to write a book on here for about almost 6 years but I never had the guts to start but I'm going to put my anxiety behind me and make this book I hope your enjoying it so far thank you ♡
