*Cadence Valentine, 19 years of Age

Cadence Valentine was the daughter of a wealthy family. She grew up with everything from scarlet red dresses to millions of toys to play with. She had her own princess themed bedroom and two personal servants awaiting her commands. With all the money in the world, Cadence wanted more.

She wanted something nobody could give her unless she took it herself.
Cadence was intelligent and a clever young girl ever since she could remember. She was different from all the other kids. Instead of playing dolls with the other little girls and the toys she had at home, she played with everyone. She waited for the right moment to strike. She analyzed every person she met as if she was gathering intel.

She played with their emotions as if it was all a game to her. After she got bored with her "toy", she would dispose of them and find a new toy to play with. Her parents were strangely terrified of their own daughter. They have seen her actions towards people.

They noticed how she would listen closely to everyone and examine every little thing a person does. They saw how their little daughter took joy in watching one of her friends crumble before her. Years after seeing their daughter become more and more dangerous as the days went on, they wanted to get rid of her.

They had planned to give her up for adoption. They couldn't take it anymore. They wanted nothing to do with Cadence. They were afraid of her and they had to do something. They made a mistake and they had to fix it. Sadly, Cadence wasn't the mistake. Trying to get rid of Cadence was their mistake.

Cadence figured out her parent's plan long before they even considered it. She knew them too well. She knew all their weaknesses, how to bring them down, and exactly how to play with them. It was simple, really. All Cadence had to do was get rid of them herself.

"How fun," she thought. Cadence enjoyed the idea of playing with her parents and the thought of hearing their screams and cries for mercy brought music to her ears. She loved hearing cries. It made her feel alive. It gave her strength and happiness knowing that she caused people to fall at her feet. She loved the power it gave her and the adrenaline that coursed through her veins every time.

"Cadence, sweetie," her mother whimpered out. "Please stop." Mrs. Valentine was tied up in the bathtub, blood covering her entire body. Cadence was right next to her, sitting on a chair with a lollipop in her hand. She brings the lollipop to her mouth and smirks, answering her mother with a laugh.

"Stop what exactly mother?" Cadence tilts her head towards her mom, looking down at her strawberry lollipop.

"Cadence..." Her mother begins to lose her breath. "Cadence, where is your father?"

"Hmm, father? Well let us see, shall we?" Cadence brings out a small T.V. that shows her father, chained up and on his knees. You could hear his quiet whimpers and pleas being released. He is in the exact same shape as her mother. Her father looks almost dead, a blank stare painting his face. The sight on the screen made Cadence's mother cry out.

"How could you? That is your own father!" She cries and yells at Cadence. "Stop this!"

"I never really had parents to begin with." Cadence shrugs. "Tell me a solid reason I should stop this and set you both free. Name one time where both my so-called parents cared about me and didn't fear me. You never gave me anything I really wanted. I could care less about the dresses and shoes. What I want more than anything in the world could give me and that is a toy to play with." Cadence looks at her mother and shakes her head.

"But my dear, we've given you millions of toys-"

SMACK!

"Not those kinds of toys you ignorant fool. I want the live kinds of toys." Cadence laced her small hands to her mother's cheek where she had just slapped her. "You know, the ones that cry." Cadence begins to claw at her mothers cheek, pressuring just enough to draw blood. Her mother cries out in pain. "You still haven't answered my question though mother."

"I-I don't-"

"I'm waiting."

"I-I-I can't name a..." Her mother frowned.

"Exactly, you can't. That means I can't help you out here." Cadence gets up from her chair and leaves her mother crying.

She continued to torture her parents until she got tired of their constant whimpering. Cadence made sure their deaths were slow and painful, enough for them to WISH for death.

Neighbors found Cadence in between her parents' corpses, talking to them. The police arrived and took Cadence away. Nobody could get through to her. All she did was giggle and laugh at the authorities.

"All I wanted was a toy," Cadence smiled at the uncomfortable adults.
She was only twelve when she murdered her parents. Some of her relatives told the police that she was mentally ill and wasn't at the right state of mind. Cadence was forced to stay alone, continuously drugged until she was ready to be moved to her permanent home.

Once Cadence was eighteen years old, her caretakers took her to the closest and most protected asylum, Exodus Asylum. Only certain people are permitted to go there. Arriving at the asylum was one of the most happiest days of her life. Being with her caretakers changed her. She learned how to act even more innocent and hurt. She learned how to carefully plot strategies when she was drugged with unknown substances. She left her caretakers with new knowledge of acting. She was ready to play with new toys.

Since Cadence was still a bit new to everything that was going on, the staff had to keep a close eye on her. It wasn't just for her safety. It was for theirs as well. Cadence got along fine with everyone. She acted as if she hadn't committed a single crime throughout her entire life.

She was sweet to all the patients and she never disobeyed the staff. She made sure to behave and be on her best behavior. All she wanted in return was a new toy to play with every week. The staff didn't take her seriously though.

After a week of being a good little girl, Cadence attacked. The nurses tried to calm her down, but Cadence refused. It was not one or two, but three nurses trying to sedate her. In the end, Cadence held the syringe to the each nurses' neck and stabbed them one by one. More nurses came in, but it was too late. Cadence got her toys. She was found on top of one of the nurse's lap singing softly.

"Shush." Cadence put her finger to her lip. "You'll wake my new toys," she said. Only, the nurses didn't wake up after meeting with Cadence. None of them did.

Another week passed by and Cadence was beginning to get bored. The nurses and staff tried their very best to entertain her and keep her happy. They gave her a small swing that was hung from the ceiling along with a small bookshelf. They did anything to keep Cadence busy and not bothered and even kept her room unlocked so that she may roam freely out of her room whenever she wants.

Cadence did, however, get special treatment from one of her favorite toys. It was a young nurse that had just arrived last month. Caleb was Cadence's favorite toy to play with because he could never say no to her. How could he not? He had fallen right into her trap.

He was so young and naïve. He had fallen in love with Cadence. He wanted so desperately to fix her so that she can live a normal life with him. Caleb refused to believe any of the nurse's warnings. How could this wrongly accused, innocent girl be evil? How could she be convicted of her parent's murder? Cadence had Caleb under her spell and will use him to her advantage. She just couldn't wait to have fun. It may be a while until she can gain Caleb's full mind so, until then, she must wait for the right moment to strike.

"My sweet princess, I must go now." Caleb says as he lets go of Cadence from a hug, but the younger one refuses. Caleb is in Cadence's room, dropping off some food for her. She's allowed to eat in the cafeteria, but she'd rather have her food delivered to her.

"Please don't leave me." Cadence's eyes begin to tear up. "If you leave me, I'll be all alone. Oh, please don't leave me alone. You won't leave me alone, would you?" Cadence looked up into her toy's eyes.

"Oh, how could I resist my princess?" Caleb pulls Cadence back into a hug. He brings his nose to her neck and inhales her sweet, strawberry, chocolate scent. It drove him crazy.

"Thank you, Caleb." Cadence puts her chin on his shoulder and sighs. Slowly, a small smirk forms onto Cadence's face. She was slowly taking over him.

"I think... I think you're slowly healing me, Caleb," Cadence smiled at him.
Hearing this made Caleb's heart soar. He beamed with pride and joy, knowing he was healing his precious princess. Unfortunately, he was only adding fuel to her fire.
