Station 19// Jack Gibson & Andy Herrera

Cold

I woke up to see jack getting ready for work.
"Good morning," I smiled
"Morning," jack smiled back.
I got out of bed and put my clothes on for work.
Me and jack left the house to go to the station.
"Me and the captain have some runs to do today so I should be back around 4 or 5," jack said
"Don't forget a jacket it's a little chilly outside," I smiled
"I won't and don't forget to take another heart pill around lunch," jack said
"Trust me I won't I'd rather not have to go to the hospital," I laughed
We said goodbye and he left with the captain. I walked outside for a second only to realize someone locked me outside.
"Hello," I yelled with beating on the door
I sat there for 30 minutes and now one answered. It started raining and I was so cold. About an hour past and I was soaking wet and I couldn't feel my fingers anymore. I know they were probably joking but this is to far.
"Please let me in," I said with weakly knocking on the door. Another 2 hours past and I could barely move. I hadn't taken my medicine so my chest was tensing up, I was so cold and I was soaking wet. I was laying on the ground because I was to weak to stand up without that medicine I could potentially die. I saw Jack and the captain pull up. Jack rushed over to me picking me up.
"Why are you out here," jack yelled
"They...they...locked me out," I said while my voice was cutting out.
"Did you get your medicine," jack replied
"No," I strained
The captain ran to the door and unlocked it. Jack rushed me inside and laid me on the couch. He gave me my medicine but I was still freezing cold.
"We need a warm blanket or something," jack yelled
I saw the others walk down stairs.
"Andy ?" Said Maya
"Leave!" Jack yelled
Captain got me a blanket but I was still shivering and my lips were blue. They pulled up and heater and jack held me in his arms
"I just stepped out for a minute and I couldn't get back in, I beat and yelled but no one came," I shivered
Jack just held me tighter and leaned his head against mine.
" i tried so hard to get in but I couldn't, I felt my chest tense up and I couldn't feel my body I thought I was never gonna make it," I cried
"I've got you now," jack said
I was still shivering but I started to feel warmer.
I saw the captain walking towards us
"Herrera I'm truly sorry for what happened, your life was at risk because of these childish people, as long as you feel up to it you can start work back whenever you like, but you and jack are being given a personal day tomorrow so you can rest and he can take care of you." He said sincerely
"Thank you sir," jack said
"I would like to have a team meeting before you all leave so when ever she feels up to it let me know," he said to jack
"Okay sir," jack replied
"Are you okay," jack said while he took a deep breath
"I don't know, it took me a while to openly trust people after what happened in Chicago and then this happened it just brings up some bad memories," I said shakily
"Jack I know these are your friends but I don't think I can forgive this, I know they didn't intend to but I almost didn't, I begged for hours on end and no answer," I sniffled
"I'm not going to either," jack said seriously
"I'm trying to be calm but it's just so hard, how could they put someone in danger that I...," Jack said before he stopped talking.
"Someone that I love," jack exhaled
"I love you too," I said taking a deep breath. Jack hugged me tighter and I finally realized I wasn't cold anymore.
"Can you tell him to do the meeting so we can go home and rest," I said
Jack told the captain and brought the team in there were I was sitting.
"So here's a question why did you lock her outside," Captain yelled
"We thought it would have been funny," Miller said
"Is her almost dying funny to you," Captain Shouted in Miller's face
"No sir," Miller mumbled
"This girl has to take medicine for her heart because someone betrayed her and she had TRUST in them," Captain yelled
"You just gave her reasons to not trust her team," Captain shouted again
"I'm assigning new partners, Herrera your with Gibson, Barrett with Montgomery, Warren with Bishop, Hughes with Miller." Captain said
"Did you hear he banging on the door," Captain screamed
"Yes sir, we thought she was just trying to get us the let her in," Vic said softly
"Bishop give me your lieutenant pendents," Captain said
"You can't," maya yelled
"Lieutenants don't act like that, they help there team not almost kill them, when you deserve it I'll give it back to you," captain said
"Last
You are not aloud to have contact with her unless she wants you to, don't bother her," he said.
They all left the room in shock. Jack took me to his house and I just wanted to go to sleep so that's what we did
