Liz’s POV
“I think it would be really great if you could share your music tastes to the world, Axl.”
I’m encouraging Axl to start a radio booth sa Queens. At dahil first class of the day he’s not taking me seriously. Naka-tungo lang siya sa desk niya while waiting for our professor.
“AXL!”
I elbowed him. Tumingin siya sa akin.
“I also think it would be romantic to profess your feelings to her while playing your music around school”
“Her, who?”
I rolled my eyes.
“Don’t play dumb with me, asshole. You know who I’m talking about”
And as if on cue, Lysa came and sat next to him. I smiled at him playfully.
“How did you know?”
Hiyang-hiya siya at namumula pa. I smiled again and started writing on my notebook.
It’s very obvious you know. Kahit naman siya may gusto sayo. What’s stopping you?
Binigay ko ang note sa kanya. Binasa niya ito sa gilid niya, sa hindi makikita ni Lysa. Pagkatapos ay pinunit-punit niya at nilagay sa bulsa ng pantalon niya.
“So.. what’s the talk of the town right now?”
Sabi ni Lysa.
“Um.. Axl here wants to start a radio booth in school. What do you think, Lysa?”
Sagot ko. Axl looked at me disapprovingly.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I’M IN. I’ve been encouraging him for years to share his music to the world. What did you do to make him go for it?”
Inakbayan niya si Axl. Oh look at these two. Clearly, best friends and flirting.
“Hmm.. well, I’m a very persuasive kind of girl. Haven’t you heard? I’m the queen bitch and I always get what I want.”
I said sarcastically.
“Wow, you sound like Yani now, huh? I’m the queen, I love my lip gloss, I love my plastic friends, I love my designer shoes, I love my plastic house and I’m inlove with my plastic kuya”
Pang-gagaya ni Lysa kay Yani. Nagtawanan kami.
“No, but seriously, Axl. Go for it. I’m here for you, always.”
Totally flirting. 100% flirting and 50% trying to be oblivious about it. What is it with best friends and not telling each other exactly how they feel?
