Season 1: Pre-Episode 1

It was the first winter morning the snow remained thick and sticky, my brothers and I were going hunting, Kenai my eldest brother, a large solid black wolf, was leading searching for hunter, Kolby my older brother, a large dark grey wolf, was back listening for any deer around and my twin brother Nick, a grey and white wolf, and I a solid white wolf, were in the middle watching, waiting for a chase. Kenai smelled hunters, but they were far, we were in an area where they could never catch us. Kolby saw the deer in the distance and Nick and I slowly created a circle around them to go in for the kill. Kenai crept upon one of the deer and so was a hunter, Nick snatched Kenai and I away and "BANG", there was red snow everywhere, I was going to kill that hunter but there was more of them coming and Kenai pulled on my neck trying to get me away, I tried to grab Nick but he was too heavy, the hunter proceeded to grab his gun and was about to fire at me and I let Nick go and ran with the rest. I turned back to see the hunter drag Nick away and I howled, a young teenager was with them, he just stared at me curiously and I growled back, but he didn't care, he wasn't like the rest he didn't claim my brother as a prize he almost intrigued me, but I turned and ran into the forest.

We finally made it back to our old dirty den, the smell is like a garbage can and don't get me started on all the bones laying around. Kenai and Kolby changed back to humans, but I couldn't I haven't had my ceremony yet. The den is mostly for wolves who haven't changed yet, everyone else lives in houses like normal people and I will soon, once I turn. As I was walking around I saw my mother Xena in tears and my father Luca the Alpha, furious, I guess Kenai and Kolby told them what had happened. Xena rushes over to me and hugs me so hard crying, I eventually gave in and whined as a sign of my sadness. Soon the whole pack had heard about my brother and everyone was comforting me, but I just wanted to run away. From then on weeks and soon months had past, and I was still grieving about Nick, my pack tried to help me feel better but it only made it worse and put me into a more depressing state, but when you keep running away from problems it also makes it worse but alas I had to, because everyone was moving forward and so did I.

Three years had passed, and I was completely over Nick's death or mostly, but then again, I couldn't really concentrate on him when I'd been working on my coronation, of becoming human. I was running through the woods as I always do alone jumping into rivers and over puddles and beginning to wonder what nick and I would look like if we were humans, or even what we'd sound like, but I'll find out tomorrow. My pack constantly changes from wolf to human every day and im ready for it, to be a human and go to high school I mean a 15 year old going to public school for the first time I hope it isn't what Kenai and Kolby have been telling me, drama with human kids, they talk about you if you don't wear nice clothes, and a bunch of other rude things that human kids do, but besides that I just want to make a real friend.

Today is the day my coronation, all the Alpha packs from all over the world are here to see me turn human, this will be the biggest coronation ever. Did I forget to mention the northern pack, us, is the elite pack of wolves, were basically the kings and queens of wolves to sum it up, even our omegas are stronger than a regular old Wolfblood. My mother Xena comes in the den and talks to me about the coronation and where to go, she never looked so happy to see me, she begins to clean my fur and nails. She grabs a brush and brushes my think white fur, she cuffed her pale white hands in the water and pours the water onto my back. It was so cold, but she instantly put a towel over me to dry off with. Xena eventually leaves so she can begin the ceremony, I sit in the den waiting to hear my name.

"Nina," Xena Calls out

I walk out of the den and the snow blinds me from the sun's light bouncing off, when I look up I see so many people sitting in chairs, and a long aisle with pedals waiting for me to walk down almost as if I was about to get married. I put my head up and walk down the aisle with pride and Xena, Luca and Nancy my grandmother, the Luna, stands at the end of the aisle smiling at me. As I walk down the aisle I turn and look around I instantly stop and I see a teenager around the age as Kenai with dark hair and green eyes staring at me, it was kind of creepy and I wanted him to stop then I realized it was Julian, the future Alpha of the Alexander pack, so I just looked away. Once I get to the end of the Aisle and stand before my alphas, Nancy hold a necklace and Luca puts a towel over my body and I lay on the ground. Nancy says a spiritual chant and the change begins, it starts with my spine bending my back straight and then my paws begin to turn to fingers and toes, I can feel my ribs getting smaller and my ears moving from the top of my head to the side, my muzzle gets smaller and my fur disappears, I look down and see a naked fur-less body, I quickly grab the towel around me because of the cold I stand up and look at the crowd and there are smiles on everyone's face, I look over at Julian and his face lightens up.

"Nina, are you going to say something," Kenai says

I just stand there nervous, I've never said a word before

"Well, Nina" Kolby yells "We're waiting... hurry up alre..."

"Kolby shut up" I yell back

"She speaks" Luca laughs

Everyone laughed, my first words were "Kolby shut up" everyone is going to remember that, I just had to laugh with them.

The coronation was soon coming to an end and most of the packs had already left, except for the European pack, the Alexanders, Luca and Bones, the Alpha of the Euros, were catching up and so were Kenai, Kolby, Julian and Jesse, the sons of Bones. I went to go get clothes from Nancy, it was a little strange having to wear clothes, but I never want to be naked in front of anyone again. My mother began helping dress, but I was smelling a familiar scent and I thought it was Nick, but I just ignored it. Once I finished I walked over to the table of food and was about to dig in, but once again I smelled Nick, I walked closer to the woods and I saw a huge grey and white wolf standing in front of me in plain sight, it was as if no one saw it except me. I tried to move closer to him but every step I took forward he took two steps back, as we got deeper into the woods he stopped and came closer to me, I brushed my hand through his fur and he didn't even flinch, just a steady breath

"Nina" Luca calls out

I turned when my father called out and when I turned back the wolf was gone, it was like a ghost or something, could that have been Nick, it had to be, but his scent, and it looked just him, all these questions came running through my mind. I wanted to see him again I had to know, Luca calls out to me again and I ran back to the ceremony. I ran back to my father and he introduces me to Bones, Kenai and Kolby were already standing there waiting for me.

"Bones, this is Nina" Luca happily says

"Last time I saw you, you were just born" Bones smiles

His voice was deep, and he had a scar across his left eye, he was covered in all black with bones and a fur coat. I don't remember his scent, he was a stranger to me and so was Julian, Luca then explains that I'm going to marry Julian. How am I going to marry someone I didn't even know, but this was the wolf way right? Julian looks at me and doesn't say much but hi. I didn't speak at all and I just felt like everyone wanted me to say something, so I cleared my throat, "hey" I said back, and he just smiles at me, he was so weird.

A few more months had passed after my coronation and I had been training and learning so much over the summer about rules boundaries, changing, even school, I had to start a whole new life and if anyone ever knew that I was a wolf I'd get in serious trouble. School started in a few days and I was excited. Today were going to our new house, when we got there it was nice, a modern trailer home, on the edge of the neighborhood, near a creek. It was a good-sized house there were four bedrooms and two bathrooms, there was a back door by the kitchen and the living room was kind of small. As we were getting settled in I can hear someone coming to the front door and it wasn't a wolf but a human, I slowly walk to the door, but Kenai stops me and let's Luca answer it.

"Hi neighbor, I made this for you as a 'welcome to the neighborhood'," the neighbor explains

"Thank you, I really appreciate this, have a nice day" Luca replied

And the neighbor just left, I had never seen Luca act like a real human before, it was amazing, he made a friend just by moving next door, then I thought that maybe being a human is a good thing, I sat in my bed and started thinking about that wolf I saw a few months back, but Luca knocks on the door and gets me out of my head and stares at me

"yes dad" I asked

"I just wanted to make sure you were settling in well" he says

I smile, and he knew I was loving it, he hugs me and then leaves the room.
