Carrie parked her car in the driveway after getting home from her third and last chemo treatment. Getting out of the car was difficult for Carrie, she felt weak and sick. She pushed the door open slowly, trying to get out just to fall and get sick.

Charlotte and Mike were behind her, parking the truck and getting out.

"Honey, what happened?" Mike rushed over to me.

As he questioned me, I viciously emptied my stomach. Once I got a break, Mike helped me up and I saw my hands bleeding a bit from the fall. Mike helped me clean my hands up and laid me down in bed.

"Mike?" I asked as he set a water on the nightstand.

"Yeah, baby?" He wondered.

"I feel like I'm dying." I said. "No one ever said this is how bad it was going to be for me. I was not this close to suffering before chemo. I'm suffering now." I cried.

"Honey, the chemo is fighting your body right now. It's trying to help you." Mike said as he used his thumb to caress my cheek.

"I feel so weak. Like I'm not good to do anything. Listen, Mike, if this doesn't work you need to promise me that you will take care of Charlie if something happens to me. I need to know that you both are going to be strong and healthy without me." I stated as I let tears fall from my eyes.

"Honey..." Mike trailed off.

"Please, Mike. I need to know." I begged.

"Nothing is going to happen to you. If anything ever were to, I promise I'd do whatever it took for Charlotte to be okay. We are a strong family and you will be just fine. Don't you worry." Mike stated as he kissed me, "Get some rest."

I fell asleep not too long after Mike left me alone in the bedroom. Once I woke up, an hour later, I realized I was about to be on a ride where I wouldn't be good. Instantly, I flew out of bed and almost into the bathroom. Missing the toilet, I threw up.

"Mike!" I tried to yell.

I hoped he hard me, then I heard footsteps coming upstairs.

Mike walked into the bedroom and looked around for his wife, "yes, baby?"

"I need your help." I asked as I sat on the floor crying.

Mike looked in the bathroom to see what was going on and turned on the water to the tub.

"Come on, lets get you washed up and out of these clothes. I clean the bathroom, don't you worry about it." Mike said as he helped me up.

"I'm dizzy." I told him as I held my head.

Mike held my body in his arms, keeping my balance, "I've got you."

After undressing, Mike helped me get into the tub to relax. He cleaned up the mess in the bathroom and then sat on the ledge of the tub.

"I don't feel right." I stated.

"It's probably just from the chemo." Mike said as he took my hand.

"No, Mike...." I began to say, but then I started to see my vision get really blurry.

I didn't know what was going on.

Mike's POV

"Carrie?!" I yelled as I stood up.

"Charlotte!" I screamed for my daughter.

I grabbed a towel and lifted Carrie out of the tub. I laid her on the bathroom floor and supported her head.

"Charlotte!!!!" I yelled again.

Charlotte came running into her parent's bathroom to see what she thought was a seizure.

"Call 911, now!" I demanded.

Charlotte ran out of the room to get her phone. She needed to get her mother an ambulance.

"It's okay, Honey. I've got you." Mike cried, "I have you."
