Unexpected Rendezvous

It was a beautiful day and the campus was both lively and beautiful as well. As it was freshman orientation, seniors were out greeting the new students. Helping them and handing them flyers. It gave Yue a festive feeling.

As Kuan and Yue were walking together Yue couldn't help but say, "It really is beautiful." Kuan raised his eyebrows questioningly. Yue smiled and said, "The campus. It's very beautiful. There is so much green everywhere and I love it." Kuan smiled calmly.

"Yes, it's very peaceful and I love it as well."

Yue seemed to feel very comfortable in front of her new classmate. So as the walked they chatted happily. They were talking how the professor's lecture was funny but full of wisdom when suddenly Kuan went silent.

"Hey yue." He paused so Yue stared at him confusedly.

"I wanted to thank you for sitting beside me at the lecture hall."- he said after a moment.

This surprised Yue. Kuan's face was a bit red. "He seems nervous."- she thought. "You don't need to thank me for it Kuan."-she told him with a smile.

"No Yue. I'm really glad that you did. I got really scared when everyone avoided me." People avoided him?? Yue couldn't help but frown after hearing this. Kuan took a short breath and continued.

"You see yue, I'm not really good at speaking with strangers and making new friends. It makes me very nervous."

Yue immediately looked at him with an awestruck expression. Heaven helped her. She managed to meet someone who is exactly like her at her first day in the university.

She looked at him and asked slowly, "When you meet someone new you really don't know how you should proceed and what to talk about, right?"

"How do you know that?"- He asked confusedly.

"I know that because I'm the same. I'm not good at making new friends either Kuan." – Yue gave him a small nervous smile.

Kuan looked at her blankly.

"It makes you awkward and.."- he started saying. "And extremely uncomfortable."- Yue finished his sentence.

They stared at each other for a while and then burst into a laugh.

"No wonder I felt fine while talking to you."- He said while laughing.

"May be it's because we are the same."- yue said with a big smile.

They were still laughing when Kuan's phone buzzed in his pocket. He took it out and checked it. Whatever he read brought an immediate sweet smile on his face.

He typed something back. It seemed like he was texting someone. Then he looked at yue and asked, "Yue, I want you to meet someone. Will you come with me?"

"Sure."Yue agreed happily.

Soon they reached a big tree nearby the path. Even though the campus was full with students the place was almost empty. It was another graceful corner in the campus. There was a vast lawn in front of them and Yue could vaguely see their department building across it. She also noticed a small bench under the tree where a girl was sitting. When the girl turned back around and faced them, Yue was stunned. "Wow she is so beautiful."- Yue thought.

Both Kuan and the girl instantly looked at her.

It took Yue a second to realize that she actually spoke out her thoughts loudly. Her cheeks turned red immediately because of the embarrassment.

This made Kuan and the girl laugh out loud and she came toward Yue to hold her hands.

"Hi. I'm Sun Yihan."- She said cheerfully.

Yue was in a panic because of her silly moment but she managed to speak. "Hello. I'm Shen Yue. It's really nice to meet you."

"It's so nice to meet you too Yue. Come and sit with us."

The three of them went to the bench and sat together. Yue was sitting in the middle and she was so nervous that her hands were sweaty. Still, Yihan didn't let go of her hands.

Kuan looked like he was really amused at the situation. But he gave Yue an assuring smile and said, "Yue, she's the one I wanted you to meet. Yihan is my girlfriend."

Yue was still sweating and her cheeks were still bright red.

Kuan chuckled and said, "Yihan is just excited to meet you. When I told her that I made a new friend, she wanted to meet you."

Yihan patted Yue's shoulder and said, "Thank you for the compliment earlier Yue. For the record I also think you are very beautiful."- said Yihan.

This made yue blush even harder. But her soft kind words also helped Yue to calm down slowly.

"Thank you Yihan."- she spoke softly.

Yihan smiled at the petite girl, "You see Yue, I was really worried for him. But now that I know that he's got such good friends like you with him I can finally relax."- she said with a bright smile.

Soon Yue became completely comfortable and spoke with Yihan freely. It was weird that she managed to become this open with two people she just met in the same day, but then again maybe the heaven really did help her today.

Yue learned that Yihan was majoring in law and she was a year senior than both Yue and Kuan. When she told them about Jiaqi, Yinhao and Xin, Kuan and Yihan told her that they also had three other friends who were here at the same university with them. Two of them were seniors and their other friend were a freshman just like Kuan and Yue.

"This is great!  Yue, you are coming to the freshman party later right? May be we can meet our friends there and introduce each other."- Yihan said joyfully.

Yue liked the idea, "It will be really nice."- she agreed with Yihan.

"Well then Yue, I'll leave you here with Kuan. I need to head back now." – Yihan said while getting up.

She then gave Yue a hug and spoke with a gentle voice, "I'm glad that I got to meet you today Yue. See you later tonight." Yihan then gave Yue a radiant smile and bid Kuan goodbye before leaving.

In the Freshman Party:-

Yue was standing in the corner to avoid the crowd and waiting for Kuan. He told her to meet him there after they separated to attend their individual orientation course classes. They decorated the place with colored paper lanterns, LED lights and sparkly party light bulbs; in dark this gave Yue a feeling that she was in a dream world. It was truly beautiful and she couldn't help but smile.

Suddenly she had this feeling that someone was staring at her. When she looked over she found a pair of curious eyes looking back at her. In the dark and under the fancy party lights she stared into the eyes of a very handsome boy.

And abruptly, for no particular reason her heart skipped a beat.

Hello there everyone,

I'm so sorry that I couldn't update sooner. Before I could completely heal from my cold I unfortunately had to deal with my exams. Not to mention that I seriously screwed up in one of my exams. It was an excellent exam but the only stupid thing I did was not writing up the name of the subject and the subject code in my exam paper T-T T-T

God knows what is going to happen to me..........

Did you guys see Yue and DiDi in the Inn 2?? I saw their live streaming episode and I think those two communicate a lot with their eyes.

I am so happy to see them in the same screen again.
