BEWILDERMENT

Wang He Di was slowly walking towards the staircase. Kuan told him to meet him near the staircase of the ExhibitionBuilding in the art department.

They were holding a welcoming party for the freshmen here. The building was huge and it had glass rooftop. It had many doors and various departments were here to welcome the newcomers.

Today was both his and Kuan's first day at the university and the two of them decided to meet each other here. So far this has been an okay day. Sure he was under the continuous stare of his classmates but he was used to being stared at.

"Damn it!! Where is this sleepyhead?"- He cursed.

Did he forget about me and was sleeping peacefully somewhere?- Didi thought to himself. "I'm gonna kill him if did."- he uttered angrily. That guy likes to sleep so much; maybe I should destroy his bed or put cockroaches in it.

He was grinning like a Cheshire cat at the thought of Kuan's horrified face when he noticed her. The tiny girl with glasses standing in the corner. She was staring at the light bulbs with a silly smile on her face. Those colorful lights created a rainbow shade on her face. She looked out worldly.

She looks familiar- Didi thought. He was concentrating hard to remember where he saw her when she looked at him. The smile faded from her face.

That startled gaze and expression. YES, IT'S HER. It's that weird girl from that night. The girl who couldn't look him in the eye. Didi smirked unconsciously at the memory.

She looks really different tonight. He almost couldn't recognize her with those glasses and oversized sweatshirt. Is she a freshman as well?

Didi was thinking when he felt a hand on his left shoulder.

"What are you thinking about so hard?"- Kuan asked.

Didi was initially surprised a little but it was replaced with annoyance when he saw Kuan smiling.

"What took you so long huh?"- he pushed Kuan with anger.

"Whoa, calm down, okay? I went to get Yihan."- Kuan replied.

"Hey, Di"- Yihan said from behind Kuan. "Hey, Yihan."- Didi greeted. "Where are Xize and Connor?"- he asked.

"They are running a little late as usual."- Yihan replied.

Kuan was a bit distracted; not joining the conversation. "Where are you looking at?"- Didi asked with a frown.

"For my friend."- Kuan replied; still distracted. He looked behind Didi and then his face beamed with joy.

"There you are Yue."- Kuan called. Didi turned around only to find looking at the same girl. She was approaching Kuan.

Wait, Kuan knows the weird girl?- he thought. The weird girl named Yue, was now talking to Kuan and Yihan.

Wait, Yihan knows her as well?- Didi looked at the three of them with a dumbfound expression. He was standing like a statue when he heard Kuan saying, "And that's Didi, Yue."

The girl turned towards him and offered to shake his hand, "Hello, I'm Shen Yue."

Didi just stared at her. When she realized that he's not gonna shake hands with her she slowly took her hand back. Her cheeks were red because of the embarrassment.

"Don't mind his attitude Yue, Didi is a bit reserved."- Kuan told her. And this made Didi stare at him furiously.

First this guy makes me wait, then he suddenly introduces me to an unknown girl and then he makes fun of me in front of the girl?? I am so gonna destroy his bed.- Didi thought.
