Connors POV

I was at the pool, making attempts on clearing my head. I needed time to get away from the guys, not because I dislike them, but the noise got too much for me. Even Sam today made the house into an ape habitat after he beat Ricky in Mario Cart.

I always loved the pool, it reminded me of my life before YouTube and my job as a lifeguard I used to have.

That I, still seem to have.

On the other side of the pool was a brunette girl, struggling to come up for air. She obviously can't swim. What is she doing here, then?

These thoughts only took up a millisecond, as I threw my shirt off and dived into the water. Ahhh. Water.

No, Connor. Get the girl.

I swam towards her, diving under and lifting her up, she coughed and gasped, pulling closer to me subconsciously as I swam towards the railing and pushed her upwards more. She pulled herself up and sat on the edge, as I did the same. She looked scared but cute. I tried getting water out of my hair as she stared at me. Ah. She's a fangirl.

After she got over the fact that I was a Youtuber we talked for a while, and, passing her a towel I offered to get coffee with her. I had nothing else to do, and there was something about her that I liked. I wasn't looking for a relationship but she was really sweet, and I wanted her as my friend as soon as I saw her.

Amelia's POV

I still replayed todays events in my head as I walked by Connor's side towards Starbucks.

"So, what's your name?"

"Amelia. Friends call me Meli." I responded.

"How old are you?" He asked cheerfully, pulling a beanie over his damp hair.

"20."

"Sweet. I'm 21." He smiled his usual emoji smile.

"I know." I laughed and looked away innocently.

"Okay, you're going to have to pretend you don't know everything about me so we have something to talk about." He laughed and nudged my shoulder.

"Deal." I chuckled.

We walked in, the smell of coffee beans tickling my nostrils. Both of us got Frapuccinos before collapsing on the leather armchairs by the window. Two 14 year olds squealed, seeing Connor. Exhaustion flickered in his eyes as he smiled and walked over to them, hugging each one before letting them take a selfie and returning back to the armchair. Something was bothering him. He loves meeting fans, he wasn't annoyed, but mental tiredness got the better of him.

"So what do you like to do?" He asked, sipping from the straw.

"Um... I write, and do horse riding." I replied.

"Cool. What do you write?"

"Fiction, drama. Just short stories, bits and pieces, really." I mumbled.

"I bet they're great." He smiled.

I blushed. "Not really."

Connor Franta complimented me. Asjdjfnfjsjbshdks. I cleared my throat and finished my drink. He finished his, and my phone rang. I excused myself and pulled out my iPhone.

"Hello?" I picked up.

"Hey Meli, it's mum. Where are you?"

"At Starbucks with a friend."

"Okay, great. Honey, you know I get worried. Have you been to the stables this morning?"

"Yeah. Sorry I didn't tell you. I'll be home soon." I muttered.

"It's fine. Your father will come home early, I'm going out to the shops. Bye." She said, hanging up.

I slid my phone into the back pocket and chose to fill in the silence.

"Yes, I still live with my parents."

"Hey, it's cool. Lots of people still do." He shrugged.

"I'm moving in with my best friend next week though." I smiled, thinking of Daniela.

"Congrats. Trust me, living with a friend can be a burden though. Turns out, you have to clean up and pay the bills!" Connor faked a shocked expression and laughed, seeing me double over.

We talked for a few more minutes and exchanged phone numbers, before standing up. I quickly hugged him and he said goodbye, before heading out of the door.

I walked out, heading towards my house. Pulling out my phone it lighted up to display Connor's name in my contacts. It really happened.
