Lance woke up to the sound of coughing, looking around, he realized he was the one coughing. He looked over at the earth clock Pidge made him, it read 4:35 AM. He sighed and tried to get up and go to the bathroom but he just fell back down on his bed. Lance's head felt foggy and he was dizzy. Suddenly his eyes started to itch really badly. He tried rubbing them but that just made it worse. Pushing himself up and leaning on the wall, Lance makes it to his bathroom and splashes water in his eyes. It made them sting and Lance fell to the floor in surprise, "Ow..." he mumbled as he wiped his eyes. Lance pushed himself up off the ground with a grunt and leaning against the counter, looked at himself in the mirror, and almost screamed. His eyes were practically falling out of their sockets, they were red, bulging, and his pupils were almost completely covering all of the blue in his eyes. 

Lance stares at his eyes horrified, they were ugly and so very noticeable. He pushed himself off the ground with a grunt then, leaning on the counter, inched his way back to his bed. He resisted the urge to scratch his eyes and tried to go back to sleep and deal with it in the morning. He started coughing as soon as he laid down though, it stopped when he sat up but if he laid down he would cough up a storm. The itching in his eyes never ceased and he had to constantly resist the urge to scratch them. 

He gave up trying to sleep and tried to get up, forgetting that his balance was practically gone he fell face forward and landed with a large thump on the ground. Someone must have heard it because Lance suddenly heard footsteps heading his way.

He groaned as his door opened and Shiro stepped in. Lance whispered, gasping for breath "help" before he passed out. 

Shiro now in a state of panic grabbed Lance and ran him to the healing pods, hitting the alarm as he went. 

He pushed Lance into a pod and clicked diagnose on the pod. It whirled and beeped as the other paladins started running in. 

Soon enough everyone was there and Shiro was explaining what he saw in Lance's room. The diagnose done everyone crowded around the pod to see what was wrong with Lance, It read: Lance Mcclain, Diagnosed with Eye Julibug, symptoms: loss of balance, laying vertical causing coughing, fever, and red bulging itchy eyes. If not treated the patient will lose their eyes, suffer from extream insomnia, and possible death in certain species. 

The team had to step back in shock, this sounded really bad. They looked over at Coran hoping he could explain, but he just kept staring at the screen with an utterly horrified expression. He blinked a couple times then looked down at his screen, tapped something in and then turned extremely pale. With a shaky breath, Coran said "U-um s-so your s-sure L-La-ance is fully huma-n" the team became even more confused and scared. Hesitantly they nodded and Coran shuddered and beckoned Allura over. She read the screen the gasped and covered her mouth with her hand as tears escaped the corners of her eyes. 

The team was scared, what was happening to their friend. Pidge, using all the confidence she could muster yelled: "WHAT IS HAPPING TO LANCE."

Allura, tears rushing down her face sobbed out "please... come read it for yourself." So the team slowly shuffled their way over, and what they saw made them all start crying, even Keith. It read: Eye Julibug/100%human, this disease is rarely seen in humans for their lack of interaction with other intelligent species. The few cases where the disease is seen in humans the patient died within one or two earth weeks from when the symptoms begin. There is only a rumor of a cure for humans, it is on the planet Widhan with the Sifo people, it is said they grow a plant that would be able to heal the human, but the Sifo are very elusive and their plant has not been tested on a human. The best solution would be to put the human down and save it from suffering anymore. 

The team looked over at Lance, they saw him twitch violently then start shaking. The pod started beeping and the turned red and rising in temper. "Is it suppose to do that!?!"  screeched Hunk. 

"NO." replied Coran, "Lance's disease is affecting the pod. It's rejecting him." The pod started to lower into the ground and Coran Yelled "Quick! get him out!" the team scrambled to get Lance out of the pod. 

Shiro hit the button and Lance fell out onto Keith who in turn pulled him into a hug, scared for his friend. He hid his face in Lance's hair as he squeezed the boy in his arms. "Don't leave me sharpshooter" he mumbled as tears leaked from his eyes, soaking Lance's hair.  

"Keith..." Shiro said, then shook his head as he rushed in and hugged them both sobbing, Pidge and Hunk ran in next with Allura and Coran not far behind, all had tears in their eyes. 

Lance made a small cough and everyone, besides Keith who was holding him up, pulled away, looking at him. "Mullet?" Lance asked as Keith's face came into focus. 

Keith chuckled, nodded, and confirmed "yeah buddy, it's me. " 

"Where... what, happened?" Lance asked, his eyes starting to itch again as he started to cough. He tried to stand realizing with a blush who he was leaning on but quickly fell back down due to his loss of balance. "Sorry..." he mumbled to Keith, and Keith shook his head smiling. He looked around and saw everyone in tears, he looked back at Keith and was shocked when he saw tears there too. "What..." he asked concerned. 

The team looked around and turned to Keith, who was wiping tears froze, realizing what they wanted him to do. "Why me..." he whispered, he looked at Coran in desperation,  but he had already looked away. "fi-ine." he gave in, Keith turned to Lance and looked into his red bulging eyes, "Lance... Yo-your," he gulped "your d-d-d" deep breath, "your..." wipe some tears. 

Lance was never a patient person, "I'm what!?" 

"your... DYING!!" Keith blurted out. "Sorry..." he whispered to the quiet room. 

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!! THE FIRST CHAPTER OF FIX ME. IDK WHY BUT THIS WAS REALLY FUN TO WRITE!!! IT'S TRASH BUT WHATEVER! HOPE YOU LIKED IT AND IT RIPPED YOUR HEART OUT.
