I Want You And I

Chapter 3- Our Encounter

I handed the volleyball over to Dyna and made my way over to the bleachers. Of course Dyna being the amazing friend she is walked with me to the bleachers. When we got there the soccer players started wolf whistling at Dyna and I so we locked arms. When we got to where Alex was sitting I said, "Hey, Alex. You didn't tell me that the rest of your team mates were coming with you."

"Well, when you invited me to your game I was gonna go alone. But the word spread around the team that I was going to your volleyball game to support you.....so the captain told the rest of the team to came and support you and your team." He said the last prat gesturing to Diamond and I.

I take a seat next to Alex, "Okay then. Who is this captain of yours? I wanna meet the wierdo." Diamond is awkwardly standing in front of Alex and I, Alex finally acknowledged Dyna, "Hi, Diamond. Would you like to have seat?" He raised his eyebrows at Dyna and patted his knee. I burst out laughing at his cheekiness.

Diamond shrugged her shoulders and took a seat on Alex's lap. Alex looks surprised at Diamond's friendly gesture and wraps his arms around her waist.

I see Dyna is distracted with something behind us, but I just go back to my conversation with Alex. I frown at Alex, "You never let me sit in your lap."

He rolls his eyes, "You never had a reason to."

A smirk replaces my frown, "Move trick!!!" I say pushing Diamond out of Alex's lap. She looks at me like "wtf" then I hear boys behind me burst out laughing.

I turn around to see Mr.28 and four boys in a group laughing, except for the curly hair, green eyed boy that Diamond likes.

Diamond gets up off of the ground and storms away furious at me. I don't know why she's so angry, she knows that I was only playing around. "She'll calm down soon enough. And we'll laugh about it later." I told Alex as I got up and sat in Alex's lap.

Since I was sitting in Alex's lap now I got a better look of who is sitting behind us. My eyes met with Mr.Green Eyes very briefly, Mr.28 was still laughing at what I had done to Diamond and he was talking to one of his team mates that were in the group.

I was about to ask Alex a question when suddenly he wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him. I looked at his arms in shock then I looked back at his face, to see him glaring at something or someone. I followed his glare to see what made him react this way. It was a group of football players, very scrawny looking football players in my opinion, and they were looking at me......scratch that, they were checking me out. The one with galaxy dyed hair winked at me, and I rolled my eyes. I always knew Alex would protect his friends from some of the simplest things. When the four football players were out of sight Alex dropped his glare and smiled as if he had accomplished a life long goal. Alex was one of those friends that didn't judge, and he would protect his friends even if it meant embarrassing himself just a little. I remember in first grade he did the nicest thing for me:

*Flashback*

I was waving my hand in the air like a crazy person trying to get Ms.Pete's attention. When she finally called on me I said, "I need to pee Ms.Pete."

She replied with an annoyed tone, "Ms.Lawley, we just came from the restroom after lunch. Why didn't you use it then?" I rolled my eyes, "Cuz I didn't have to use it then." I replied in a "duh" tone.

"Well that's too bad...isn't it?" she replied going back to the lesson she was teaching.

A couple of minutes later I knew I couldn't hold it in anymore..and I peed on myself.

Alex was sitting right next to me and he was the only person I could trust to tell.

I silently cried to myself and tapped Alex on the shoulder. I was too embarrassed to say it out loud, so I wrote it on paper. He looked over at me with amused eyes, but as he saw that I was crying his eyes changed to sad ones.
