Chapter 15- Please Don't Be True

*Alex's P.O.V.*

It was finally the end of practice and it was time to go home. I was kind of dreading going home to be honest. 

I made my way to the parking lot and to my car. When I found my car I found Lawely leaning up against the passenger side door. I smiled and walked over to her and pecked her on the lips. She smiled but it wasn't her usual bright sunshine smile, this smile was different...it was forced.

"What's wrong baby?" I asked her as I placed my hands on her hips. 

She stepped back, putting space between us, I dropped my hands to my sides.

Then she said, "We need to talk..." she said looking down at her hands fiddling with her fingers. She only did that when she was nervous and/or scared. Why is she acting like this, what happened?

"Okay" I replied to her statement walking around my car to the driver's side unlocking it manually. Once I got in I pressed the unlock button on the inside of my door, unlocking Lawel's door. 

She climbed in without looking at me. She buckled her seat-belt staying quiet, I did the same and started the car. Pulling out of the parking space, and drove out of the parking lot.

As we pulled out onto the road I couldn't help but to glance at her she had tears pooled in her eyes.

"What the matter baby?" I asked resting a hand on her thigh.

She pulled her  thigh out from under my touch, "Promise you won't get mad" she said looking at me, as a tear fell from her eye and ran down her cheek. She brushed it away hastily, she was really scaring me at this point.

"What? Why would I get mad?" I asked her.

"Just promise, please" she said wiping another tear that escaped.

"Okay..I promise" she sighed.

"Okay..uhm a few days ago..Niall and I were hanging out-"

"Wait" I said cutting her off mid sentence, "you and Niall, my douche bag of a team captain, were hanging out...together..alone?"

"Yes we were alone" she sobbed.

"Oh no. What happened?" I asked not really wanting to find out the answer.

She started sobbing into her hands, completely breaking down, "I'm so sorry."

I shook my head I couldn't believe it until I heard her say it. 

"Say it Aeron" I said with my jaw clenched.

"Niall and I kissed. I'm so sorry Alex. I'm so sorry" she said sobbing even harder. 

I can't believe that she cheated on me. I never thought she was capable to do such a thing to someone, especially her best friend. I thought we were better than this, I thought we would have lasted.

I wished what she said wasn't true, I wished that this was just a horrible dream and I would wake up soon. 

Sadly it's not a dream, this is real life and my world is falling apart. 

"I'm going to kick his ass!" I said spinning the car around, speeding down the road, heading back towards the school.
