•In Casper's house•
One year has passed and Jack finally got over his shyness and made lots of new friends but not as close as his original friends Casper, Lily, Brent and especially Claire.
"Thank you so much you guys, I couldn't have done it without you," Jack happily announced. "Hehe, no need to thank us Jack. It was you who pushed your self out of that shell," Brent winked at him, "still a joker, eh Brent?" Lily rubbed Brent's hair "hey! I just combed that, you know?!" Brent exclaimed. All of them were laughing and telling stories about the experiences they had that year while Claire and Casper kept quiet in one corner.
Casper looked at Claire while she sweetly gazed at Jack.
"Hey. You do like Jack, don't you?" Casper asked making Claire a little bit startled about the question. "What? Really Casper? You think I like him? I mean, yeah of course I like him as a friend but nothing more, ok? So stop what you're thinking right now because it's all wrong, get it? I have no deeper feelings for Jack, no no not a bit, so stop asking!" Claire rapidly talked leaving Casper at an awe. "Hehe, no need to explain yourself 'cause I just asked. Or is there?" Casper started teasing Claire.
Oops! did he noticed? No no way! My acting is terrific! I'm sure he didn't feel anything from what I stated, right? Claire's thoughts started running but stopped when Casper flicked her forehead. "Calm down, will you? It's just a simple trick. Don't worry your secret is safe with me," and at that statement Casper winked and left Claire with a dropped jaw as she watched Casper simply walked out of the scene.
•5 minutes later•
"What's up Claire? Anything going on between you and Casper?" Jack walked towards Claire and gave her a piece of cake. "Oh it's nothing, really," Claire accepted the cake. "You know, Casper isn't that cold hearted. He's just trying to endure things as much as he can. I sometimes call him 'The Vase' for his attitude, but what I see when you two talk is like you guys completely understand each other," Jack carefully sat beside Claire. "I know and I noticed," Claire looked at Jack.
As the night goes by, Jack and his friends enjoyed every moment they spent with each other. Singing, dancing, telling stories and spending time with each other.
•After a while•
"Bye guys!" all of them said in chorus as they bid goodbye to Casper.
The four walked together and as they walked, one by one is saying goodbye. Until only Jack and Claire were left.
"So... Did you have fun?" Claire slowly stopped walking, "are you kidding? Yes!" Jack suddenly stopped and faced Claire. "Good! Because there are a lot more of this kind of things in the upcoming school years. And trust me. YOU. ARE. GONNA. LOVE. IT!!!" Claire started shaking both of Jack's hands out of excitement. "Alright, alright. I'm thrilled," Jack held Claire's hands to stop her from shaking, "I'm looking forward to that," Claire started walking.
They walked a few more meters and finally reached Claire's house.
"Umm... Thanks," Claire shyly said, "no problem, any time," Jack bowed his head down to hide his blushing face. "I'll be seeing you next time, then," Jack stepped back, "Ah, yes. Bye take care," Claire waved at Jack "yeah, bye," Jack started walking back home.
Jack, man! Calm down will you?! I mean it's just a crush on her. Nothing wrong about that right? Hehe, yes nothing wrong about that. Jack thought as he traveled back to his own home.
