Jack laid down on his cream colored bed and Claire sat beside him gently brushing his thick dark black hair with a slight fade of thick galaxy blue as he slept peacefully in his white with light blue lines painted room.
Jack slowly opened his beautiful dark blue eyes only to find out Claire's chocolate colored eyes sparkling as she brushed his hair.
"Good morning," a sweet voice greeted Jack, "oh... Morning Claire," Jack carefully sat on his bed. "Are you feeling better now?" Claire took her hands away from Jack's hair, "yes, but do you mind telling me what happened while I was out?" Jack asked. "Well... After you passed out, Nicolas helped me to get you back on your bed and he immediately called a so-called private doctor of your family to look after you. As soon as the doctor arrived he hurried and took out this vial with I think what I saw is a red medicine they called 'Thirst Quencher' and transferred it in a syringe and then injected it on your lower left arm. After injecting the medicine in you the doctor checked your pulse and temperature then he said you are fine and just need some rest. That's what happened," Claire thoroughly explained. "You are one smart cookie, huh?" Jack softly smiled. "Yup, hehe," Claire chuckled. "You know what Claire? It's already been three years since we met in the woods that time. I'm already 16 years old and so are you but you still treat me as a child, huh?" Jack moved in a little closer to Claire. "Yeah I know. Now you brought it up, why were you crying and alone on the first time we met three years ago?" Claire asked calmly. "That, I can't tell you. All I can say is that my family revealed something to me that made me all weak and then I started to tremble in fear and cried until I got lost in the woods then found you. No no, it was more like you found me," Jack stood out of his bed then started fixing his self up. "Well in that case, I won't ask anymore," Claire sprang up and helped Jack tidy his bed up.
•After half an hour•
Jack and Claire walked down the stairs and found Jack's parent and sister sitting on the dining table waiting for them.
"A pleasant morning to everyone I'm Claire, Jack's friend," Claire greeted with a sweet smile on her face. "Oh, what a polite friend you have there," Jack's mother, Jane smiled back, "our pleasure to have you on our humble home Ms. Claire," Jack's father, Mike greeted her back. "Good morning to you too Claire," Jack's older sister, Jennifer winked at Claire. "Come on guys, this is not how we talk. Why are we being all this classy and speaking so much like aristocrats anyway?" Jack pulled out an empty sit for Claire. "Thanks," Claire whispered, "no problem," Jack whispered back and sat beside Claire.
The table is about 2 1/2 meters long and half a meter wide. The whole platform's made up of maple wood covered in transparent paint complementing it's pale color and natural swirls and twists on the wood grain. It's legs made out of silver, crafted like a tree trunk to make it look more natural. On the table was an astonishing variety of food and different kinds of delicacies. Jack and his family as well as Claire sat on chairs made out of bocote which will cost about $32.99 per feet, designed to make it look like a royalty's throne. On each top of the chair, embedded a white diamond which costs about $560.59 each. There are a total of 10 chairs, so if the diamonds are all summed up the prize is going to rase to $5605.9.
Wow! I didn't know that Jack's family is as rich as mine. Hehe, I really need to learn a lot about the business industry to keep up these days. Claire quietly ate beside Jack.
"So Claire, what's your last name?" Jane asked, "oh, it's Smidge ma'am," Claire politely answered. "Hoho, don't be shy you can call me auntie- Wait a minute did you say 'Smidge'?!" Jane's eyes widened. "Yes ma'am- I mean auntie," Claire nodded, "Wooh~" Mike spat out his coffee in shock, "you mean, you are the mysterious young lady of the Smidge family? The daughter of Sergeant Major of the Army Carson Smidge? And the daughter of CEO Laine Smidge of Wolf's Flower Corporation?!" Mike started talking rapidly with his eyes open to the max. "Hehe, yes I'm Claire D. Smidge, 'D' for 'Diale' . But you did miss one single detail about me Mr. Timber," Claire chuckled. "Let me guess," Mike deepened his thoughts, "dad, she's also the younger sister of young master Laxin Smidge, Master Sergeant and also famous for his interior designing. He was even awarded by the president himself for his many achievements on the age of 20 and for his outstanding bravery. Right Claire?" Jennifer looked at Claire. "Yes! Yes!" Claire nodded. "You don't have to be this polite and by the way you can call me uncle. Now enjoy yourselves children for we have business to attend to," Mike winked at Claire then got out of the house along with his mother. "Me too bro, have my karate lessons half an hour from now. Well, gotta go! Bye!" Jennifer followed Mike and Jane, leaving Jack and Claire at the table.
A long awkward silence filled the room but got broken by Claire. "So... Aren't you gonna take me to see the outside view of your house?" Claire leaned a little closer to Jack, "oh yes! Just go clean your self up and change. I've already got clothes for you, it's on the white box on my bed go and put them on after you shower," Jack softly whipped his lips with a handkerchief. "What about you?" Claire stood up looking at Jack, "I'm done, remember?" he looked back at Claire. "Oh right, then see you later," Claire ran up the stairs and entered Jack's bedroom.
•A few minutes later•
"Hey Jack! What do you think?" Claire ran down the stairs wearing a yellow colored dress with round jewels on the bottom part forming a line. The dress was round necked and reached down right just before her knees, she wore a glamorous white sandals with each having a round shaped jewel at the tip which complemented her beautiful mini hat covered in white silk and a little yellow feather on it. Gosh! I know the dress was gonna look good on her... But this is just exquisite! Wonderful! I say! Jack thought as he covered his face with his right arm to cover his blushing. "So... What do you think?" Claire stood in front of him while she swayed the dress, "it's perfect," Jack shyly smiled then took Claire's hand "follow me, I'll show you what the outside of the house looks like," he gestured to the door.
•Outside•
"Wow! It's just like a castle hidden in the woods!" Claire stood in awe. "Hey, our house is as grand as yours. At least that's what I've heard," Jack tapped Claire's shoulders, "and another thing, why are you shocked? Since you saw my house last night, right?" Jack crossed his arms. "Because it was too dark last night and I couldn't get a good perspective of your house, plus I have to meet you immediately, remember? Well... Next time I will invite you over to my house and give you a tour!" Claire excitedly said. "Ok, ok, if you insist," Jack softly smiled at the beauty beside him.
