Shining Eyes (A Warrior Cats Fic)

Chapter 3

"Hey young one."
Berrypaw jumped in fear, showing her sharp and shiny claws. She realized that she was by the river that is the border between DawnClan and PineClan. She had learned the borders when she was a kit. Stars were shining so bright that there was no need for the moon's light.

She turned her head to see a she-cat. This unfamiliar cat had the lights of the stars in her eyes, had scars on her neck and a fluffy tail. Her golden fur flourished as a wind blew.

"Don't worry Berrypaw, you're safe here."

"Who are you?"

"I'm the founder of your Clan. I'm Dawnstar."

Berrypaw widen her eyes in excitement. I met our hero, our founder. But, why am I here, what does she want?

Dawnstar broke the silence.

"I came here to warn you. There's a huge disaster on the way. It even can break the light of stars and spread darkness everywhere."

Berrypaw yelled.

"What? What is that? What is coming?"

Two cats appeared by the lake, in DawnClan territory. They were pitch black, with purple fogs around them. Their eyes were filled with darkness, hate, hurt and ambition. They were walking towards Berrypaw.

She showed her claws and backed up in fear, her cream fur standing on end.

"WHO ARE THOSE? DAWNSTAR HELP ME!!"

Dawnstar ignored her and continued.

"The light will shine on her eyes so bright, bright enough to take down all the darkness. She will face the dark kin, and only she can end this disaster, with this light."

The dark cats jumped on Berrypaw, their dark foggy claws showing. Berrypaw screamed.

"Berrypaw, wake up!"

Berrypaw jumped, she was back in the apprentice's den, in her bed of moss.

"You were screaming, is everything alright?"

Rosepaw was standing beside Berrypaw. She got up and started to groom herself.

"Everything's alright. Just a nightmare."

The scent of rain reached her nose. She guesses that it rained last night.

"Let's go then! Spottedstar is waiting for you!"

They walked out the den. Rosepaw waved bye to Berrypaw and walkes out the tunnel with her mentor, Harecloud.

Berrypaw started to look for her mentor. She eventually found him near his den.

"Oh Berrypaw, are you ready for your first training?"

Berrypaw meowed happily.

"Yes!"

"First, you'll learn the borders and the whole territory. But be sure to not go too far from me, okay?"

Berrypaw nodded.

"Then let's go!"

She walked out the bramble tunnel, Spottedstar leading her.
