Chapter 10

KARINA'S POV

After Max helped me, I went to go pack while everyone else gathered the kids. I zipped around the room collecting the small amount of clothes and things I owned. I stuffed everything in my bag then raced down to the den.

There were so many kids in the room. I concentrated and flew up, looking around at all the kids. I saw a group of kids I learned to love. Emma, Andi, Sara, GiGi, Diego, and Jax. All but 3 have special abilities. They had been messing with their powers when they were captured and brought here to HiddenVille.

I smiled and flew over to them.

ME: "Guys!"

ALL: "Crystal!"

I flew down to them.

GIGI: "OMFG! Crystal, where have you been?"

EMMA: "What's going on?"

DIEGO: "Are we finally getting out?"

ANDI: "Can I finally get rid of the woman who trapped us here?!"

JAX: "Where is the wakadoo anyway?"

ME: "Guys! Calm down. Phoebe, do you have the megaphone?"

PHOEBE: "Sure do! Here, catch!"

She threw it up and I used my telekinesis to get it. I pushed the button and flew up. I looked down at everyone.

ME: "OKAY EVERYONE. I KNOW YOU ALL MUST BE WONDERING WHAT'S GOING ON. WELL, ALL OF YOU ARE GETTING OUT OF HERE!"

Everyone cheered.

ME: "MOST OF YOU ARE NEW HERE BUT SOME OF YOU MIGHT RECOGNIZE ME AS THE ONE AND ONLY RUNAWAY. YOU KNOW ME AS CRYSTAL CARSON. MY REAL NAME IS KARINA. ME, ALONG WITH BILLY, NORA, PHOEBE, AND MAX ARE GOING TO GET YOU ALL INTO 5 GROUPS. AFTERWARDS MR. & MRS. THUNDERMAN WILL TAKE ONE GROUP AT A TIME BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL HOMES. I KNOW NONE OF YOU ARE ACTUALLY ORPHANS. MS. VIRGINIA CAPTURED YOU IN HOPES OF GETTING MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT. MOST OF YOUR PARENTS THINK YOU ARE GONE FOR GOOD. WE WILL MAKE SURE YOU GET HOME."

Child: "Would you please quit using the megaphone? You are yelling into it."

I shut off the megaphone.

ME: "Sorry Tommy."

I looked at Phoebe.

ME: "Emma Alonzo, Andi Cruz, Sara Peters, Jax Novoa, and Diego & GiGi Rueda need to stay with me."

PHOEBE: "Raise your hand if any of you have siblings here with you!"

10 kids raised their hands. Their ages ranged from 6 to 10 years old.

PHOEBE: "The ones who just raised their hands please go into the next room. I will be there to help you in a minute."

The kids ran to the next room. Phoebe followed them.

Next Max spoke up.

MAX: "Okay now, boys Raise your hand if you are 9 years old or younger."

10 more kids raised their hands. They followed Max into the play room.

NORA: "Girls, your hand if you are 9 or younger!"

5 girls raised their hands. They followed Nora into one of the bedrooms.

BILLY: "Raise your hand if you have been living here since you were babies."

4 kids raised their hands. One kid looked my age. The other 3 were 10 to 12 years old. They followed Billy into another room.

I looked at the remaining kids. My friends and 6 more kids.
