darkness

There is no light without darkness
No good without the bad
No fun without boredom
No sane without the mad

And yet we hate the darkness
We fear it's shadowy grasp
Scared of darkened corners
and darkened tinted glass

We turn on all the lights
We brighten shadows away
But there's one darkness you cannot fight
...the darkness inside yourself

Unless you swallow a flashlight or something
But you might choke on it and die
Best not to then
Just let the darkness consume you, it may be fatal to consume light.
