9 finds Rose

Chapter 2

Someone pointed out that I forgot to have the doctor change into his 9 clothes (leather jacket and pants and stuff) so pretend he already did. Thanks!

I cant help but keep thinking about Rose. I never thought we would be a thing, I can't even see me in a thing. Its weird. But if I can't see me falling in love, then why am I in love with her? I don't like feelings.

I need to find out where she lives but I can't seem to find her address anywhere. It's like the universe doesn't want me to be with her. Like it's always trying to separate us. I keep looking around town trying to find her address when I finally find it! "Fantastic!" I exclaim and run to the Tardis to punch in the coordinates. But before I go I need to get some sleep. The regeneration energy is still lingering in me.

//later the next day//

Here I am in front of Rose Tyler's house. I don't want to seem like a stalker and just show up at her front door... I'll go in through the cat flap! I get down on my knees and start to unscrew. Once I've got 3 of the 4 screws out, I feel something kick against it. Oh great. If it actually is a cat I'm dead. I have terrible allergies to them. This stupid body. The flap gets flipped up all the way by, Rose Tyler! Perfect! I still have to pretend I don't know her though. I smile at her and she gasps and opens the door. "What are you doing here?" She asks me confusedly. "What are you doing here?" I ask her. Play it dumb. I'm so good. "I live here!" She exclaims. Why is she so bothered? "What'cha do that for?" I ask her. Even better. But she looks angry at me. Huh. I'll never understand humans. "I'm only home because someone blew up my job!" She yells at me. I roll my eyes and grab out my sonic screwdriver. She should be great full I didn't blow her up! I look at my sonic and realize I do have the wrong signal and shouldn't be here. I can find Rose Tyler later, I have to kill this living plastic first. "Wrong signal. You're not plastic, are you?" I ask her, tapping her forehead. "Nope. Well then bye!" I say and wave my hand, starting to walk out the door. "No. You. Inside, right now." She says sternly, yanking me back inside. Well at least I know I've got a stubborn girl thats going to travel with me. Fantastic.

She talks to someone else in the house about something. I assume its her mother, but I don't really listen. I don't really care either. I follow her into the living room when I'm stopped by her mum in her dressing robe. Great. "I'm in my dressing robe." She says. I hope Rose isn't like her mother, she sounds absolutely stupid. "Yes. You are." I say, trying to get her to shut up. "Theres a strange man in my bedroom." She says. "Yes there is." I reply. Can she even shut up? "Where anything could happen." I turn pink. Ahh. "No." I shake my head and run to the kitchen where Rose is. I'm just still hoping she's not like her mum.

Rose talks about something to me from the kitchen but I'm not really listening. I tend to do that. While she's talking I read a rather sad book, read a magazine, play with some cards, until I hear something tapping. "You got a cat?" I ask her worriedly. "Nope." She says back, then continues to ramble on. I look behind the couch where the tapping is coming from and the plastic arm grabs my throat, trying to choke me. And as I'm dying over here, Rose is just still talking. Fantastic, she'll talk my ear off. After this plastic has pulled my head off anyway.

She finally comes in and doesn't even realize I'm dying. I manage to pull the arm off me, only to have it attack Rose now. I can't have Rose die now! I sonic it and it immobilizes. I grab it and run downstairs, only to have her follow me. "You can't just go swanning off!" She yells while still chasing me. "Yes i can. Here's me swanning off. See ya!" I yell and increase my pace. I have to find the Nestene Consciousness. Thats where its being controlled from. "That arm was moving! It tried to kill me!"

"It tried to kill me." I point out to her.

"You have to tell me what's going on at least!" She yells back.

"No I don't!" I say happily. She just doesn't get it.

We walk to the Tardis. Actually, I walk, she follows me. "Well then who are you?" She asks me. "The doctor!" I respond grinning. I love it when people get confused over my name. "Like, doctor what?"

"Just the doctor. Thats me, hello!" I wave the fake arm at her. She laughs. "Is that supposed to sound impressive?" She asks me. Why is she asking? It does sound impressive! "Sort of." I say back, smiling at her. She shakes her head in laughter.

"Come on then. Tell me! I've seen enough. Are you the police?" She asks. Do I look like the police? They have badges and stupid hats. "No. I was just passing through." I say back. It's not that hard to understand! I'm just the doctor that saved her life with living plastic! She keeps babbling on with nonsense talk, thinking the whole world revolves around her. She finally says something correct, though. "So you're saying that the whole world revolves around you?" She asks me in disbelief. "Sort of. Yeah." I reply. She laughs again and shakes her head. "You're full of it!"

"Sort of, yeah!" I shoot back cheekily.

"Who else know about this stuff?" She asks me. Finally she's asking real questions. "No one." I say back. I smile, but really I wish someone else knew about it. I can't keep holding everything in, pushing my feelings down. "So you're on your own?"

"Yup. All you lot do is eat chips, watch telly, and go to sleep when really theres a war going on beneath ya." I say, making my point. "Then start from the beginning." She ask me. I figure I may as well and tell her everything about the living plastic. "So it's trying to take over all of Britain's shops?" She asks jokingly. I laugh out loud, she's ridiculous! "Of course not!" I say, and we both laugh. "They're trying to overthrow the human race and take over earth." I say, a bit more seriously this time. "Do you believe me?" I ask. I really hope she believes me. Then maybe I can tell her a bit more about me and what I do. Maybe even she could come with me. "No I don't." She says. Something inside my drops, and I feel sad. But I can't show it so I just push it down further, and smile. "But you're still listening." I point out. She smiles, then scrunched her eyebrows together in thought. "But really, Doctor." she asks seriously "Who are you?"

I smile, then look at her hard. I can tell her everything, or tell her nothing. Chances are she'll never believe me, but thats okay. It'll be good to tell at least someone, even if they are just a silly little human.

"Do you know like we were saying, about the earth revolving? It's like when you're a kid, the first time they tell you that the world is turning and you just can't quite believe it 'cause everything looks like it's standing still. I can feel it..." I take her hand in mine. "-the turn of the earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour. The entire planet is hurtling around the sun at sixty seven thousand miles an hour. And I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me, clinging to the skin of this tiny little world. And, if we let go..." I drop her hand. I've told her enough, scared her enough. "That's who I am. Now forget me, Rose Tyler. Go home."
