Grace's POV
I walked to my house with a frown on my face as I thought about the lie I would make up to tell my mum about my red swollen eyes. I knew she was bound to get the truth out from me but I had to try at least. Some minutes later of walking, I could see my white house shining like a pearl in murky waters. I quickened my steps and finally got to my porch and I could see my mum cooking through the door window.
I took a deep breath and knocked, she immediately stopped what she was doing and came to open the door for me with a bright smile on her face until she saw my face and the smile faded. I tried to smile at her to assure her but I could tell I didn't try enough by the questioning eyes she gave me. I knew I had to tell her the truth so I dragged her to the island and we both sat down.
'Mum, I'm sorry I came home late. I had a little run in with a guy but Grey took care of it'', I said while looking at her assuringly. I guess she noticed I didn't want to talk about it so she told me to go shower and come down for dinner and I willingly obliged, taking the steps two at a time.
I walked into my room and immediately stripped off my dark jeans and white cashmere sweater and dashed into the bathroom. I let the water rush over me in hot streams and finally felt my nerves relaxing. After some minutes of letting the water pour over me, I took a big dollop of shampoo and washed my hair clean then proceeded to scrub myself clean with my strawberry scented shower gel. I left the bathroom feeling clean and refreshed and decided to change into black yoga pants and a random hoodie and walked down the stairs while towel drying my hair.
I strolled into the dining room and sat down on a chair to wait for my mum to be done cooking. It felt like hours had passed until she finally decided to finish up dinner and I sighed in relief when I smelt the amazing aroma swirling through the entire house.
'Honey, please would you help me set the table?', she ask-yelled at me from the kitchen. I preferred working than sitting down and getting more ravenous by the minute so I decided to help her. I stood up and went to one of the red cabinets in our kitchen used for the sole purpose of cutlery. I picked up two sets of a fork, knife and a spoon and gathered two china bowls too for dessert which I expect to be cake and ice cream. ''It better be cake and ice-cream or I'd crawl up in a ball and die or ferment'', I thought to myself.
Wait, I'm meant to die before fermenting or ferment before I die. Right? Right? I'm so weird, ew.
I walked into the dining room carefully so I wouldn't break anything and I set everything up on the table properly. Five minutes later my mum brought in dinner and we both dug in like ravenous animals but the only thing missing was our usual banter but she could tell I wasn't in the mood so she kept her words at bay. After eating, I went to the fridge with our bowls and cut up two big pieces of red velvet ice cream cake and a big serving of ice cream.
''Can I please take mine up to my room'', I asked with pleading eyes. She always hates when I take food up to my room because she didn't want insects flocking in my room. She took a look at my eyes and nodded a quick okay then I dashed upstairs.
I settled down comfortably on my bed then decided to check if had any messages. I clicked on the WhatsApp app Clare introduced me to and saw I had three messages from Grey and a message from who I guessed was Evelyn due to her profile picture being her slutty self.
Hold upppppp, how did she even get my number?
I quickly saved her number then clicked on her chat;
Evelyn: Charlotte Bitch Knight, fuken sta away 4rm mi man or else......
18:45
I laugh at her stupid form of text slang and text back;
Me: *rolls eyes*
19:01
I could see her typing back and I honestly didn't have time for this so I archived her number then clicked on Grey's chat;
Grey: hey babe
18:56
Grey: how are you doing?
18:57
Grey: I hope you're alright?
18:57
Me: I'm doing fine Grey, go to bed
19:05
I turned off my phone and plugged it in the charging port then switched on my 32'' flat screen tv and relaxed on my bed feeling content and getting prepared to binge watch 13 Reasons Why.
AUTHORS NOTE!
Hey guys,
Its been ages since I've updated, mostly because I totally forgot the plot line of this book. I even forgot it was based on werewolves lol. I'm planning to add that part once I introduce Kai into the story (and I plan to do that in the next chapter).
I've also been thinking of changing the name of the book because I don't really want it to focus on Grace only, so please send me suggestions of the names you'd want the book to have. Another important thing id like to say is that I don't feel people are really liking this book and I really need a boost of confidence so y'all should please encourage your friends to read my book and vote and everything. I love you all, have an amazing day.
My best boy band is 21 pilots.
