Naruto had been left alone while Jiraiya went to go do something. 'Probably peeping in on girls again.' Naruto thought to himself as he walked down the streets of the small village they had stopped in. He looked at the stores there they all seemed to stay open relatively late. It's a bit unusual. Especially the one that has the closed sign up. All the lights are on.
Naruto got curious and went to the store. To his surprise the door was unlocked he opened the door and went inside. He looked around and his eyes widened when he saw that the owner of the shop was dead. He backed up and was about to leave when he bumped into someone. He turned around quickly and saw a man holding a scythe. The man chuckled and looked at Naruto.
Zack had come into the shop and killed the owners. He didn't want anyone to come in here and see the mess that was made. They sure did struggle. Zack was about to turn the lights off when he heard the shop doors being opened. He looked out from the back room and saw a boy.
He got out of the back room using the left exit and he was behind the boy. The boy backed up and bumped into him. He grinned but, for some odd reason he didn't want to kill the kid. He then had an idea making his grin grow.
Naruto woke up in a dark room and he looked around. He noticed that the man that he had run into the night before was sitting against a wall, sleeping. He felt something on his neck. He saw a dog collar. 'I-What happened?' Naruto asked himself getting up and going to a mirror not too far from him. He saw that there was a name on it. 'Zack?' he asked himself. He looked over at the person sleeping. 'That must be his name.' Naruto said to himself as he went back to the bed he woke up on.
'What's gonna happen to me?'
