Wake up

I couldn't move my arm. I was stuck. I heard the sirens. "Help!" I yelled. I have no clue how much time went by but soon someone pulled the door open and I was picked up into their arms. I was taken to an ambulance and then the hospital. Dad came running in with Fulton behind him. "Cat." They both said "Your xrays should be back soon." The nurse said "What happened?" Dad asked "I have no clue." I said "What's been going on lately?" Dad asked "Dean, he uh he broke up with me." I said "When?" Fulton asked "The day I got my scholarship in the mail there was a letter from Dean. He wrote saying that he wasn't going to take the scholarship and that he wouldn't be coming up. A few days later he called he told me he couldn't do the long distance anymore." I said "That's why you were so willing to go to LA?" Dad asked "Yeah." I said "You were going to LA?" Fulton asked "Yeah. I was in the cab and then I heard screeching and when I opened my eyes I couldn't move my arm." I said. "Hey Cat. I'm your doctor. We just got your xrays back." the dr said when he came into the room. "Relationship to the patient?" The dr asked "I'm her dad and this is her brother." Dad said "Ok. Well Cat you have a dislocated shoulder, wrist and a fractured arm." He said "Am I gonna be able to play hockey again?" I asked "We won't know until your fully healed but right now we don't think you'll be able to." The dr said. "I'll give you a minute." The dr added and left the room. "I just got a scholarship." I said. "I'm gonna give you two a minute." Fulton said. Me and dad sat in silence.

I walked out of the room and straight to a phone. I called Dean. I had to make everything seem normal. "Portman's residents." His mom said "Hey this is Fulton. I need to talk to Dean please." I said "Alright Fulton let me get him." She said. It was silent for a minute then I heard the phone shuffling. "Hey Fulton." Dean said "Hey. Anything new lately?" I asked "I got that scholarship thing. I ain't been falling to Cat." He said and the last part a little sad. "Why?"  I asked "I broke up with her." He said. I know that dummy why did you! "That's why she was leaving." I said trying to act surprised "Leaving?" Dean asked "She was going to her moms." I said "Was?" He asked "Yeah. You don't get to know why she didn't either." I said and hung up. I walked back into Cats room and she was getting dressed in her black clothes. "There's the Cat I know." I said she had a cast on her arm and it went from arm to wrist. "It looks than it is." She said "I'm gonna go sign you out." Her said said.

Soon Fulton came back and dad went to sign me out, "Did you call him?" I asked knowing he did. "Yeah. He doesn't know your hurt." He said "Good he doesn't get to know." I said "He's gonna find out." Fulton said "How?" I asked "He's supposed to come down next week." Fulton said "Great." I said. Dad came back and we left. I was in a cast and a sling. We got into dads new car and went home. He lets Fulton stay a lot "Im gonna get to bed. If you need anything come get me." Dad said and hugged me. I sat on the couch and turned the tv on. "I'm shocked." Fulton said "Why?" I asked "You haven't cried once. You have tons of reasons but you haven't. Dean broke up with you, you got in a car accident, you might not be able to play hockey." Fulton said "Yeah. Don't remind me. I'm gonna go to sleep. You good?" I asked "Yep. I know where everything is." He said. "Night." I said and hugged him.
