It's been two months, I think, since we started school. Today was the last hockey game of the season. I had my varsity jacket on and my jeans and a black shirt. I hadn't spoken to much of the Ducks since the first day. Coach Wilson will kick me off if he knows I talked to Fulton once. I grabbed my keys and my bag and walked to the office. I had my bag sitting in my locker. I heard yelling next door. It was JV. I rolled my eyes "Bombay! Go tell them to shut up!" Nick yelled. Everything I've done is just be the maid. I rolled my eyes and walked next door. Crap I forgot my jacket. Oh well. I was in a tank top and skinny jeans and my combat boots. I pushed open the door. This was the time I hated most. "Your varsity! Get put!" Jessie yelled. A lot has happed over the last two months. I got real depressed. My dad lost contact with me. I had cut myself. No one knew but everyone was about to know. That's why I need my jacket. I put my arm behind me and looked at the ground. "Wilson said to be quite." I said "Tell that coach of yours that he's not one couch and can't tell us what to do." Jessie said. I heard the door open and I turned around. It was the last person I'd ever expect to see here. Dean Portman. "Cat." Dean said stopping dead in his tracks. "It's Cathrine." I said. "No it's not." Dean argued. "Cat What is that?" Charlie asked. "What's what?" I asked "The things on your arms?" He asked "I fell." I lied. "Cat are you... are you hurting yourself?" Julie asked "I'm not talking about this with you! All of you left me! I did what I had to do! I kept trying and trying with you guys but you guys walked away! Even you Fulton!" I yelled. "Cat." Dean said "No you hurt me too. You broke my heart. You were the only guy I loved!" I yelled. "Cat."  Fulton said "Don't. Maybe I should just..I gotta go. I've got to be in the bench. And case you guys wanted to know. I can't play anymore." I said and walked out. I ran to my room. I m is I should've been there for the first part of the varsity game but I needed to be alone. It was know two hours passed and I walked to the rink. I saw my team still on the ice. I walked down and stood by Coach. "Where were you?" He asked "Something happened I needed to be alone." I said "Well that costed you your coaching for today. Go clean the locker room." He said. I walked in the locker room and the phone started ringing. I grabbed it, "Hello?" I asked "Hi. I'm looking for Cathrine Bombay." The man said "This is her." I said "Ms. Bombay. I'm Mike Nano of the Los Angeles police department. Your mother was in a car accident. She didn't make it." He said. I dropped the phone and ran into the hallway. I sat in a corner and cried. I may not have been close to my mother but she was my mother. "Catty?" Adam said "Adam." I choked through tears "What's wrong?" He asked "My mom... she's- she died." I cried harder. "Come here." He said. I cried in his shoulder. I heard laughing and I hid my face harder into Adam. "Look who it is. Trader Banks." Jessie said "Not now Jessie." Adam said "Why?" Charlie asked "Cause." I said "Cat?" Everyone asked. I moved my head from Adam and looked at everyone. "Has She Ben crying?" Charlie asked "Cat?" Fulton asked "Don't." I said. I wanted them to help but they are shutting me out. "What happened?" Les asked "What's got you crying?" Dean asked "Stop!" I yelled. "I need it all to stop." I said and scratched my arm. "Cathrine stop!" Dad yelled running inside. "Cathrine." Dad said grabbing me. "She's gone!" I yelled "I know. I know." Dad said and rubbed my back. "Who?" Fulton asked "Her mom." Dad said. It went silent. I turned and faced them "Go ahead! Say I deserved this! I didn't! Now look I don't even have my brother or the man I love." I said "Dad. Take me home please." I said. He put his arm around me and walked me to his car. Then we drove home.
