I woke up and put on skinny jeans, a black tank top and a leather jacket. I brushed my hair and did my makeup and covered up my tattoo. I grabbed my bags and then me and dad left. We met the team at the park and loaded everyone's bags and then left. Fulton day next to me and so did Dwayne. "So, How was y'all summer?" Dwayne asked "Good cowboy how bout yours?" I asked "Peachy." He said. "Hey isn't Portman supposed to be here?" Charlie asked "He um he's not coming." I said "What happened?" Connie asked "He told me he couldn't do long distance and that he wasn't coming to school with us." I said bluntly. "You ok?" Adam asked "Yeah. Surprisingly she's been fine. Minus the whole car accident." Fulton said "So your still put?" Guy asked "For 3 months." I said "Then we find out if I can play. I don't know what I'll do if I can't. But as of right now I'm your assistant coach." I said "Well then Coach Cat." Fulton said. We were pulling up to a big school now. "My dad went here." I said "He did?" "Yeah." I said. I stared in shock. We did a ceremony to introduce us and Charlie as the guys came through the stage and said "We're the Ducks." And laughed. Soon we went to the class we were instructed. Mine was different. I had to go speak to our coach. I walked away down the hallway and found the gym offices. "Coach Orion?" I asked the man "Yes. Sir please." He said and I sat in the chair. " I know you were recently in an accident and aren't allowed to play? Am I correct?" He asked "Yes sir." I said "Well your father came by. Told me your the assistant coach for the Ducks. Your gonna be helping me coach them." Coach said "So this is where your free time will be spent. With me in here and helping me. You report to me before school, during my class, and after school and after practice." He added "Yes sir." I said "This will also be your first class of the day." He said "Ok. What do I start with?" I asked "Tell me about the team." He said. I told him everything. How we played as kids, the games in LA. All of it. "Now when class is started you are going to be meeting in my office and handling papers." He said "Yes sir." I said. Then I went to my other classes with the team. Soon it cane time for practice. I went the opposite way. I walked into the office and sat and waited as coach handed me papers. "Read these. This is how I will be coaching." He said and handed me a book. I started to read then Coach started to talk "The team is getting here so I will be in the gym if you need me." He said then left. I finished reading the book in about 30 minutes. I walked to the gym and saw the team. They were all pissed "Hey Coach. I finished the book you gave me. What do you want me to do now?" I asked "Stand and observe with me." He said. We stood as the team did their thing. "What I discuss with you stays between me and you. You are my assistant. Your job is not their friend during my hours." He said "Yes sir." I said. "Meet me in my office. We have things to decide." He said and I walked to the office and sat down. About 15 minutes later he came in. "I took Charlie's C. I'm picking Captain. This is my team. Your father taught them well. I'm sure you are better." He said "Yes sir." I said "Which is why, when you find out if you can play you will be ok varsity win Adam." "What if I can't play?" I asked "You will help the coach for the varsity. I saw how you looked with them. You need a new team. Someone you can see new things from. So your being transferred to the Varsity Assistant Coach." He said "Ok sir." I said "They are in the gym now. Let me introduce you to the coach." He said.
