I woke up and realized I was getting my cast off today. I put on shorts and a jacket and had to me carful with my shoulder still. Tomorrow the team, including me, are going to our new school.

I was sitting in the dr office waiting for them to get my cast off. The took it off and then put me in a brace and said still no playing hockey. I understood but it hurt. I can't play what makes me me. We left the office and drove home. "I know this isn't good for you Cat." Dad started "But maybe you'll give the school a try." He finished "Sure." I said. We got home and I packed my stuff. It took hours but I packed up most of my clothes and my drawing pads. It was about 6:30 when I finished. I changed into short shorts and a black tank top, I pulled my hair into a ponytail and walked out into the living room and Fulton was sitting there. "Oh hey Fulton." I said. "Catty. Are you packed?" Dad asked from the kitchen "Yeah." I yelled "What are you doin here Fulton?' I asked and sat on the couch. "Deans in town." He said "Oh." Was all I could say. "He's coming down so he can see me before we leave for school. Don't worry I won't bring you around him." He said "Thanks." I said. We ate dinner and Fulton went to his house and I went to my room.

I looked at the clock by my bed. 11:35, I pulled on a random hoodie and then slipped on my combat boots on and walked out of the house. I walked to Fulton's. It wasn't a long walk thankfully. I stopped when I got to the intersection and waited until I could walk across. I finally crossed at walked to Fulton's apartment. I knocked on the door and Fulton's mom opened it. "Hey Cat." She said "Hey Kristen." I said and hugged her. She's been like a mom to me for the last four years. "I came to see you before we leave tomorrow." I said and sat on the couch. "Fulton's in his room if you wanna see him." She said. Then the phone rang. "Cat could you get that please?" She asked "Yes ma'am." I said and ran to the phone. I pulled it off the wall and heard the voice of a person I never expected to hear. "Fulton. Dude!" He yelled. Dean. "Fulton can't come to the phone right now, can I take a message?" I asked in a nice way. "Cat what are you doing there?" Dean asked "No, you can't call me Cat again. It's Cathrine to you. Just like when you didn't know me." I said and the line was silent "Catty!" Fulton yelled "Fulton cane get the phone. I have no clue who it is!" I yelled making sure dean would hear. "That's a like Cat you know me!" He yelled. I walked and sat on the counter. Fulton and Dean were talking and I was staring out the window. "Dean, she's just hurt. There's a lot going on with her. You left her when she needed you. I'm not picking sides. I'm both of your friends." Fulton said. "Yeah. Bye." Fulton said. "Catty. Dean is sorry." Fulton said "No. No he's not." I said...

:::::::::::::::::::::::Deans POV:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I dialed up Fulton so I could tell him I'm getting on my plane in the morning. "Fulton. Dude!" I said I to the phone, "Fulton can come to the phone right now, can I take a message?". Her. The one girl I loved, I broke her and two months later I was hearing her voice. "Cat what are you doing there?" I asked  "No, you can't call me Cat again. It's Cathrine to you. Just like when you didn't know me." She said and I stated quiet, "Fulton cane get the phone. I have no clue who it is!" She yelled making sure I would hear. "That's a like Cat you know me!" I yelled. The phone shuffled around for a minute "Dean." Fulton said "I'm stupid man. I broke Cat. She loved me, I loved her and I didn't want to think that when we got off the plane three months ago she'd fine someone better than me." I said. I was leaning on my doorframe to keep myself from walking around. "She's just got a lot going on."  Fulton said. Then he went on to say he's friends with both of us and that he isn't going to pick sides. the call needed and I walked to my room. I pulled out a picture Fulton took of me and Cat. She was wrapped in my arms. It was the night of the bonfire. The first date. I had put the picture into a frame when I got home a few months ago. Even after I broke up with Cat, I didn't want to break up with her, I know I can't live up to the man she deserves so I had to let her go. It's what's best for her.
