Chapter 4: Thanks Mom

a/n: hey guys, this chapter im kind of just winging because im not quite sure how its going to go down yet, so sorry it might not be as fantabulous as other chapters. even theres only like 20 of you reading, i hope you enjoy it :)

luke woke up to a text from darcy

*Lukes POV*

From: Darcyyy :) <3

"Hey luke, sorry about all the confusion, my thing got cancelled so if you're still up for it... friday night, movies, 7:30? sorry again about all the confusion. goodnight :) Xx"

he knew something wasn't right, he was curious about this "thing". he replied a few minutes later so he could think out what he was going to say.

Hi babe, it's completely fine :) you got it, what movie? i'll pick you up at 7, make sure you dress warm, the theater is pretty cold. see you at school x

the rest of the school week went by pretty fast. wednesday and thursday luke and darcy flirted in the halls, giggling at basically everything each other said. thursday they had lunch together so they sat with their usual little group of friends, luke, darcy, michael, maddy, calum, and ashton. they have all become really close friends. another new girl came on tuesday, her name is sophia. she seems really nice so they let her into their little group.

now it was friday.

*Darcys POV*

tonight was the night. tonight was the night luke and darcy were going to the movies, their first real date. luke drove her home because it was raining. darcy lives within walking distance from school but he didnt want her to get sick.

the ride home consisted of lukes corny knock knock jokes and darcys giggles and blushes at how stupid some of them were.

"knock knock" luke asked , this will be the 13th knock knock joke he's asked since they sat down in the car.

"gosh luke how many knocks do you have up your sleeve?" she replied back while laughing

"thats not the only thing i have hidden up my sleeve" he smirked.

darcy playfully punched his arm at his dirty remark "grow up."

"if i grow up any more i'll be a fucking skyscraper. " she managed to choke out a "true" but it was hard considering she was cackling at the joke he made toward himself. he pulled into the driveway and kissed her hand he was holding and said

"pick you up at 7, love" with that darcy hopped out of the car and ran to her front door, unlocking it and trudging inside with her soaked sperrys leaving a trail of water. she found a note on the fridge from her mom-

hi dar, monica called me into work unexpectedly. sorry i wont see you on the big date night but i know you'll look beautiful. just remember protect yourself don't let that boy touch you anywhere but your hands. have fuuunnnnn xoxo

she facepalmed at her moms sexual reference and grabbed a bag of potato chips and a water.

she had around 2 hours until 7, she already showered this morning but she wanted to look and smell good for luke. she dropped her backpack down at the couch thanking god she didnt have any overwhelming homework tonight. after she finished her snack, she ran upstairs to her room skipping over one step for every hop she took.

darcy locked the door behind her and stripped down to nothing but her good luck bracelet from her mom which she refuses to take off. she got in the shower at 5:45.
