Dear Eros,
I went over to Winter's place and decided to hangout with her after work. I was so anxious thinking about what Ningning's decision would be and I didn't want to beat myself over it in case things don't turn out the way that I wanted them to. Winter and I cooked our dinner together and we played different board games until we both got tired. Our evening was full of laughter, teasing, and playful fights. I even forgot about Ningning until I received a text message from her later that day. I excused myself as I read it.
She began her message with an apology of how she treated me these past few days to how impolite it was for her to suddenly act like we were strangers, just because her family matters were giving her a hard time. She ended her message by saying that she still wanted to make things work between us and promised that she would make it up to me tomorrow.
I turned my phone off as I went back to lie down beside Winter. It's great! I mean.. I should be happy, right? Things turned out the way that I wanted them to be. So why..
Why do I suddenly feel nothing at all?
Love,
Karina
