The Effects of Love

Chapter 5

*Jonathan and Troy are sitting in the back seat of Tucker's car waiting for the airport doors to be unlocked. Tucker is talking to Jonathan about some plans he's made while Troy and Jonathan are away.*

Tucker: "I found a place that has rooms connected to each other so those people can go back and forth and hang out."

Jonathan: "Why didn't you get them the presidential suite or the penthouse?"

Tucker: "Because those are way too expensive."

Jonathan: "Oh. And when are they going to arrive?"

Tucker: "Well, the first couple are leaving early so they can enjoy the place, and then the other couple are going to arrive a few days after."

Jonathan: "Are they going to rent a car?"

Tucker: "Uhh... I think the first ones are going to. The second ones aren't sure yet."

Jonathan: "Okay. Well maybe the first couple can pick the second up."

Tucker: "That's what I was thinking too."

Jonathan: "I can talk to them if you want."

Tucker: "No. That's okay. I'll do it. Just go and enjoy New York."

*Troy sees the automatic door open and gets out. Tucker gets out and helps unload their luggage. Dalis gets out and gives Troy and Jonathan a hug. Troy takes Jonathan's hand and walks towards the door.*

Tucker: "Oh!!"

*Jonathan turns around and catches a football Tucker threw to him.*

Tucker: "Go teach Troy how to play."

*Troy makes a face at Tucker and Tucker laughs. Troy and Jonathan wait for their flight to be called. When a flight to ****** is called, Jonathan stands up, grabs his luggage, and walks towards the gate. Troy stands up, grabs his stuff, and follows Jonathan in confusion.*

Troy: "Wait! I thought we were going to New York?"

Jonathan: "I'll tell you what's going on in the plane."

*Jonathan takes Troy's hand and walks him onto the plane. Once they sit down, Jonathan tells Troy what is going to happen.*

Troy: "That's so sweet. I can't wait to see the look on their face when it happens."

*The plane takes off and Troy is already asleep on Jonathan's shoulder. Meanwhile, on the ground. Tucker is talking to Dalis about how they are going to fly to New York to surprise Troy and Jonathan. Dalis grabs her suitcase and starts planning on what she is going to pack. A week goes by and Tucker and Dalis are leaving to the airport. When Dalis puts her suitcase in the trunk, Tucker waits until she is in the car. Once she gets in, he takes out the suitcase she packed for New York, and loads the one he packed for her for ******.*

Tucker: "Oh. So for some reason, we have to take a flight to Hawaii before we can fly to New York. They said it had to do with something about it being more fuel efficient."

Dalis: "That's fine. It's weird though. I would have thought it's more efficient to go from here."

Tucker: "I think it's because the plane uses less fuel when it's flying at a constant speed for a longer time."
